What a cute crew! And such a classic look! They remind me of the early days of anime, like from back in the Star Blazers and Speed Racer days!
Cute doll family! It looks like they have some tiny toys of their own.

well, there's the most recent of them, Sakura Kinomoto there, a 2014/2017 LE doll of a character form a 1998 series,
and the oldest, Nakoruru, a 1995 doll based on a then ongoing video game series that began in 1993.

but, then again, there's Belldandy, a 1997 doll based upon a character conceived in 1988, and all the other girls,
whose respective character debuts/doll production dates all fall between about 1999/2007,
and i suppose you do have a fairly vintage/semi-vintage group of character dolls here, (almost all of which benefit from post-2005 OBITSU BODY designs)
all fighting over the only male doll i've got, "Tenchi Masaki" a 2001 doll of a 1992 character...
Quite a collection. You have sure put a lot of work into all their outfits.
Thank You.

i started out around 2002, -my pre-internet days- with a simple desire to find a nice set of lingerie for the first character doll i ever got,
TOYNAMI's 2001 12in. (1/5scale?) "Tenchi Muyo!" Princess Ayeka Masaki Jurai. that led to a couple of Barbie wedding dresses for her,
and my first, crude attempts at sewing, to make her stockings and a pair of slippers;

(entry-level consumer grade Digital Photography kind of sucked in the early-2000's)

This is such a lovely collection!
thank you, an improved photo is now in place...
Nice view of the "top row" figures. I also liked the previous photo, which offered a tantalizing glimpse of those hiding on the shelves below. Tongue
ah, Anime figure shelving;

Your gals are so cute! I like the vintage anime chars better than the modern ones. They're cuter in my opinion.
Wowwww! What a fantastic collection of anime figures!

You could be doing the Doll A Day Project with those, you know (hint, hint)!

I know "figures" are not technically "dolls," but I hope you have a chance to photograph some of these less articulated members of your harem to share with us!

older Anime characters tended to have a lot more soul and personality about them.
probably because yesteryear's character designers were basing their work more from real life than from a preordained list of popular/established Tropes. that's my personal theorem, anyway...
