Deepest apologies for my delay in posting this voting thread. I hate it when real life gets in the way, but sometimes it cannot be helped.


Here’s the Round 46 voting thread. Looks like there were 9 of you who submitted a photo entry. Apologies if I missed anyone. I scoured my inbox, and I think I have everyone's entry here.

Round 46’s theme was Romantic Portrait in Black & White, and was chosen by our Round 45 winner, davidd.

davidd, I think your theme inspired a bunch of us this time around.

Deadly Nova's photo has such a great sense of action! I can almost feel the blonde girl lunging into the arms of her friend!
S1dthesqu1d's pic is totally hot; looks like a scene from an uninhibited punk rock club in the 1970s.
Love the reflection in Alliecat's photo; and such wonderful details, like the hand-written love letter, the rose, and all the pretty lace.
BlueBlueKarou's photo looks so very sweet! And I like their deep, dark eyes!
Rexicorn's photo also features deep, dark eyes, and a barely contained passion about to elode!
Lejays17's picture is adorably old-fashioned with lace and a flower and a sense of giggly affection!
NatTheCat's photo looks like an image straight from the cover of a melodramatic historical romance novel!
I love the technical excellence of Cornflower Blue's photo, demonstrating a masterful control over gradations of tone in a black & white image.

Each photo has impressive strengths. Choosing a "favorite" in terms of voting is a matter of momentary preference. While one photo might edge out the others at this particular instant, the next time I visit this topic, whether an hour or a day later, chances are another will be the one I prefer. I like them all!

That's actually the vibe I was going for, and just that these characters have been together for 8 years and I finally shelled one of them so I could get photos of them together
I totally agree with all your other comments, this is such a difficult round!!!

While I typed this up there was Olympics coverage playing in the background, which probably influenced the tone!

Definitely a great theme, Davidd. So many people (and dolls ) participated! :33 Picking a favorite was very difficult.
