Oh wow! How long did you have to wait to get the right butterflies to land?

And the stairs look so cool with the pictures on them.

The butterflies look amazing - I can't imagine how long it took to get that picture.

Also: the stair decos look brilliant!

Thanks everyone!  The stairs turned out pretty nicely, but I'll have to put some more double-sided tape on them... which makes me hesitate to get a wall decal that I was also considering for there.

Welllll... there's certainly a lot of art.  Alas, it was my parents' house and nothing is really "my" style.  I need a house to decorate for ME.

Well, again, they'd just hatched and weren't ready to fly, so they hadn't had their first flights yet.  When we were done I put them back on their sticks on the picnic table to take off when they were ready.

It was 17 degrees in the sun today, WOOT.  So with the sun reflecting off the back of the house it was really nice on the porch.  It was a bikini day! and Daesani & I are making the most of the remaining nice weather.  (Meanwhile, a friend in Ontario has snow )  So, for all I bitch about the climate, it could be a lot worse.

Nice deck. Nice Adirondack chair! Did your dollies build the deck and the chair? Or do they just use the deck and the chair on days like today?

Can you see the ocean from your deck or from your house?

Those aviator shades are boss awesome!

...nope, they're not into building stuff that much... most of the crew wasn't here when the deck was built, and the chair was a gift from Offgenemi.  
Could see the water from the roof or a glimpse from the unfinished attic, but no, not from the livable part of the house.  It's only 10 minutes' walk down the road though.

Haha, it's funny; I actually don't like coffee.  I just saw the quote and thought it was fun.  I like the smell, (at least of regular coffee but not some of those weird gourmet flavours that smell like boiled socks ) but not the taste.

Aw, Victor is very flattered.    We love Calvin & Hobbes.  I could just about do that sort of thing with him; he's so big.

Doubleheader this week...
Way too much to do this week, hampered by falling down the stairs & wrenching my ankle... hope I can walk tomorrow.  But crammed pumpkin-day in yesterday.
