Dude
I am temporally challenged and live in the wrong time zone.  I do well to arrive at “today” before it becomes “tomorrow”.  I can’t do the higher math.

If I recall correctly from your blog posts, you stood a lot of night watches on your trans-oceanic voyages. Evidence suggests your "temporally challenged" seems to be independent of time zones.

That, then, suggests that the algebraic date formula is independent of time zones.

None of this will make sense in the morning, will it?
Whacked

I prefer long hair on dolls, simply because I'm better in maintaining it. While I do have a long hair fetish, I can still appreciate short styles. But I don't like styling dolls' hair with wax and gel and stuff, so I'm not looking forward to the day Poppy's hairstyle falls apart and needs to be restyled. But I'm in love with Azone boys, so at least I won't be buying any products just because of one doll. Which sounds like a perfect excuse for getting more Azone boys... yay

Other than, those armored hand gauntlets are super cool!

Those are actually layered bracelets with charms. Still really cool, though

Sounds like it's Blursday again...
Technically, I believe tomorrow is the 'x' variable as it is yet unknown.  So today would be 'x-1', which therefore makes yesterday a 'y'... (as in, 'Y didn't I get more done yesterday?' or 'Y did I do that dumb thing?').  Today would also, then, be 'y+1' as the consequences of whatever you did or didn't do yesterday.  Today being today going both ways, unless you are time-travelling to an alternate universe in between those days,  x-1 = y + 1.
x - 1 + 1 = y + 1 + 1
x = y + 2
Tomorrow = yesterday + 2
See?
xp

Nice closeup portrait!
Also, 'nope-inducing' is another great term.

LOL  Now I'm LOL'ing even more!

(I didn't realize my time zone was offset by so much from Alliecat's. What look like late-nite posts to me are actually early morning posts for her. She does not exaggerate when she mentions her nocturnal tendencies!)

See, the problem with living in my head is that yesterdays can easily be just as unknown a variable as tomorrows. But I agree, we should use x for tomorrows and y for yesterdays, not many people get this much confused.

And I also think that the formula is independent of time zones. I get confused regardless of them.

Day oh dear, here we go again... By the way, I was unsure whether it is Tuesday or Wednesday, all while still being firmly stuck in Monday. I feel like I've been granted two extra days of life! Y + (Wednesday - 2) = 230

By the way, I've never been tested for dyscalculia, but I do display majority of the symptoms.
Oh, I wish it was Tuesday or Wednesday already! Thursday and Friday are national holidays here, and I could really use those two extra days off right now.

This version of Toralei looks gorgeous! Yes, probably less interesting amidst the abundance of long-haired girls than her signature version was, but she appeals to me more this way.

I definitely felt much better getting up at 3:30 AM for 4-8 watch than at 7:30 for 8-12.  I was awake enough at 4:30 AM to want navigation lessons, which our watch leader was not too jazzed about.  I think the formulas are self-contained within each time zone; if you want to factor in others you might get into some relativistic time-travel-fringe mathematics.  xp
They do say that people with Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome will eventually catch up to a new time zone and be late there too.  I’ve seen this start to be the case.

Very pretty portrait of Toralei.
Without a regular schedule, it sure can be difficult sometimes to keep track of what day it is.
Oh, wow. First off all the math - I suddenly feel like I've been handed a test I didn't study for.

Importantly? Toralei looks amazing! I think this is the only time I've liked a doll of her with longer hair... But then you do get the best of each doll you photograph
We’re ahead of everyone else down here, so technically we’re living in the future.
Thanks guys!

Day 231

ADAW #32

The true vampire squid!

Ooooooh!
Ooh your vampire squid design looks amazing, and Captain Rick Lake seems so proud to show off this evidence of the first proper photo of it.
Oh, the vampire squid looks cute! I guess it's not the best term for a species like this though, is it?
Cool doodle. I like the way you made the tentacles like wing spines and put claws on them.
Your pirate boy is cool too. I wonder if he is showing off a creature he's encountered in his travels....?

Thank you! Yeah, he's pretty proud of it. He likes hunting for mysterious, never-before-seen creatures and places. Truth to be told, he loves the whole pirate aesthetic, but he's more of an adventurer at heart.

Thank you! I don't know, I consider everything with bat wings cute by default, so I'm probably not the right person to judge this...

Thank you! It's inspired by decidedly non-vampire squid that is nonetheless called vampire - Vampyroteuthis infernalis, which also has webbings between tentacles.
Yes, he is! He's proud to be the first one to properly document the existence of this creature!

2020 is a really stupid test.

(08-19-2020, 04:33 PM)Elfy Wrote: [ -> ]Do the vampire squids glow?

I think their eyes do, like with all vampiric creatures. I don't think they have bioluminescence, because prey that would be lured by that probably doesn't have enough blood, so these squids prefer to hunt for bigger fish, sea mammals and, occasionally, people.

Day 232

My lavenders all died in the span of two days for no reason! It happens here, this place seems to kill my lavenders every two or three years. Sigh. Good thing my mom loves lavender, too, so the Cult can hold meetings and rituals on her balcony.

I know I've said this before, but you really do know how to get the best out of your dolls in each of their photos.

Also so sorry to hear that about your lavender. At least the Cult has somewhere to go.
