I once lost an entire knitted-for-me top for a good 12 months. I have no idea how it ended up in the library under a pile of books.

She seems happy about it. I thought perhaps she had become accustomed to a more natural style, but apparently not.

From what I've seen of your house... mostly in photos, because the windows are apparently all blocked by piles of books... that does not entirely surprise me. yay

You both made me laugh. Needed that; I had SUCH a weird day and actually could really have used Cousin Monday’s help.

We all need to let off steam sometimes.

I know, I know, I was s'posed to do a Star Wars themed pic today. May the Fourth be with you!

I'm trying to largely avoid "toy aisle snapshots" this season on A Doll A Day, but these odd Hawaiian-ish "Fashion Styling Heads" were too out-of-place here in rural Utah to pass by without a photo. No purchase, however; just a photo.

There used to be a significant Samoan population in Utah, as the LDS church is popular in American Samoa and among Hawaiian-Samoans, but that was largely further north in the state. In fact, there is an abandoned Hawaiian-Samoan ghost town in north-central Utah called Iosepa: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iosepa,_Utah

I seem to recall thinking those were so cool when I was very small. I never got one though.

Yes, having lived only half an hour from La'ie for fifteen years, I, too, found the connection interesting.

Have not been to Iosepa.

A few years ago Bratz Yasmin visited the Gunsmoke set in Johnson Canyon in southern Utah:

This "Old West" town appeared in numerous motion pictures and television productions from the 1930s in to the 1970s. Today it is abandoned and falling to ruin. The structures are on private property and trespassing is strongly discouraged.

Fun! Too bad they couldn't turn it into an attraction of some sort.

Yasmin looks right at home on the range. Who would have thought that of a Bratz doll?

Those styling-head dolls always creep me out, I never had the “brushing hair is fun” stage in childhood (or older), so I don’t really get the appeal of it.

Hmmm.... should we be concerned that you know about these things....?
I like the one of him peeking through the hole. For figures with fixed ex-pressions (i.e. not moveable Pullip eyes) you've made them pretty ex-pressive. And the closeups are all really good, again for relatively small figures.

Now the earlier shot makes perfect sense. They better not get on her bad side, though.
