The army bloke does look a lot older than the 27 he’s supposed to have been, and your alternative story of him rings much more true to his perceived age.

So much easier to add things onto a list than to cross it off. My (internal) list never gets any shorter.

That's true.

Indeed, she looks too cool to care what anyone thinks of her.
Carly on the other hand, looks like she would fit in anywhere with her cheery nature.
We could probably learn something from both of them!
