“Hi everyone!
“We know it’s really a ‘ship’, but we like yelling ‘BOAT!!’ like a Lucy Bellwood comic  xp
“Here’s Auntie Daesani at Nanaimo’s Neck Point Park, where we went looking for fairy doors and ran out of daylight once again.

“Aaaaand, ignore this post because Mum’s iPhone has taken to duplicating not only sentences but now posts too. (It’s interesting that if you type “stupid“ and the letter “P“ the first suggested word that comes up is ‘phone’. LOL )”

Moody skies. Is that a gravel beach?
Some nice old driftwood logs! I hope Dæsani moves before the tide comes in! Even tiny "sneaker" waves can shift those huge logs around!

Ooh, that looks lovely. Very atmospheric. Feels like the type of place someone could get a lot of inspiration.

Such a cool place! Very suitable for Daesani!

“Hi guys! Thanks… Yes, it was kind of a gravelly beach.
“Mum’s housesit is done and we’re off to different adventures. We had an inauspicious arrival in Victoria, at an Airbnb whose ridiculous driveway was not marked. Mum had to call CAA to haul the car off a steep little bank.  She did not take a picture of us standing under the rear wheel.

“Today was better. We had a fabulous time at Miniature World, which has an awesome collection of dioramas, doll houses, history and fairytale scenes, cross-Canada panorama, all with incredible detail. Mum took a gazillion pictures. Here’s Scarlett with one of the we–sized dollhouses. We would love to have one of these… Mum, when are you going to build us that lighthouse....?”

“Thanks for looking!

Oh, right... that's on my list as well.

Miniature World sounds like a place where I could spend all day... and all week.

Good thing you are a member of the automobile club.

What an adorable dollhouse! My crew would love to see what kind of lighthouse you'd build for your crew.

Oh, wow, Minature World would be a fun place to visit.

Also poor dolls are always waiting for us to build stuff... /glances at list of things for own dolls.

Oh how fun!! I would love to visit a place like that. And the dollhouse looks to be the perfect size for your minis. <3 So cute!

“Aloha, dolly friends! Here we are again.  Yep, you could really spend all day in Miniature World. There is so much detail in each diorama that you really need to take a long time with each to see it all.
“Yesterday we went to Butchart Gardens, which was all absolutely stunning, even at this time of year with not so many flowers in bloom. The setting and the layout are spectacular, and it’s another place where you could spend all week!”

“Thanks so much for following our adventures!

That's an impressive dragon statue, my Jinafires would love to have their photo taken with it.

RE: The Adventures of Sunsette -- Dispatches from the field - werepuppy - 03-10-2020

That is a fantastic place to visit and get photos, by the looks of it.

Glad you're enjoying yourselves!

When I was a kid, there were numerous billboards along Highway 101 (the Coast Highway) in Oregon, where I lived, promoting Butchart Gardens. Being a kid, I would ask, "what's the big deal with a garden?" My parents and grandparents would tell me how big and beautiful it was, but we never visited.

Now, I think I would appreciate it more. The "sunken garden" sounds particularly intriguing.
