RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - dargosmydaddy - 09-28-2020 Week Thirty-nine I had the rainbow-y backdrop set up for my Dal House photo challenge picture, and Alphie wanted a turn. I am still figuring out lighting with the new camera, and this session's pictures were mostly a fail in terms of crisp and accurate colors... sigh... The background is a very fun piece of scrapbook paper. RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - Alliecat - 09-28-2020 He's cute. What's your white balance set on? Sometimes they struggle in low light and the photos aren't crisp. RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - davidd - 09-28-2020 Great side-eye ex-pression! Why is he looking so guilty? RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - Elfy - 09-28-2020 I quite like the background. It’s playful. RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - Lejays17 - 09-28-2020 The rainbow background is nice, and he looks vaguely guilty about something there too. RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - neon_jellyfish - 09-28-2020 Awww, what an adorable ginger boy! RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - werepuppy - 09-28-2020 Aww, he's adorable. And the background is fun! RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - dargosmydaddy - 10-19-2020 Quote:What's your white balance set on? It's on whatever the auto setting is, and I'm not really sure how to change that... I did manage to find the instruction manual online, but haven't really gotten the chance to read through it properly... and I readily admit to being not-very-fluent in camera! And now I'm three weeks behind, because life. Ugh. I had some time yesterday to fool around with dolls and the camera a bit, but my indoor pictures are still pretty disappointing. Thankfully the outdoor ones come out OK-ish, and the weather was decent. Week Forty: Week Forty-one: Week Forty-two: RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - neon_jellyfish - 10-19-2020 Such a nice autumn batch! RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - Elfy - 10-19-2020 The one with the flowers is lovely, I also like the pumpkin shot. RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - davidd - 10-19-2020 Such a fun, autumnal set of pics! For indoor photos, you need a lot of light. No way around it. Get a cheap desk lamp at Walmart, five or six bucks. That's what I use. They work great. This is what I use: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-LED-Desk-Lamp-Flexible-Metal-Gooseneck-Silver/49333228 RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - Alliecat - 10-19-2020 Lots of fall colours there. I like the outfit with the cute brown jacket. Auto white balance should be OK. There should be a button for "WB" that you could push to get a menu, but, I almost always use either auto or daylight. Could've been just the low-light setting. Sometimes mine will change the colour cast on 2 consecutive photos even though I haven't changed any settings. RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - Lejays17 - 10-19-2020 The shot with the pumpkin is neat. And the others are nice too. RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - werepuppy - 10-19-2020 Ah, such lovely colours! RE: dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2020 - dargosmydaddy - 10-26-2020 Week forty-three The only picture I got to take today before my camera died and I discovered I'm out of batteries... |
