They do need a bigger couch.
I take it the Smarties will be the ADAD models for this month?

Ha! That's fun. Now you can make movies with live action of them! grin

Love the way Janie shrank back when she thought Nellie was going to hit them with the rolled up paper.

That is the plan! We'll see how it pans out.

Pavlovian conditioning.

(The girls are delighted that you remember their names!)

2 Smartember: Whatever happened to that parcel that arrived for the
Smart Dolls... last November? Or was it October? Anyway, last year!

Ooh, I hope we'll finally get to see what's in it.
Don't you worry about not opening packages, that if there's anything wrong with your order, it'll be far too late to correct it...?

Yeah, a little bit. Then so much time passes that I become afraid there will be something wrong so I become even less inclined to open it.

3 Smartember - "Are We Going Somewhere?"

Unfortunately, we are not. Those days appear to be gone... forever.

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Alliecat - 09-04-2021

Ugh Cry
Although I guess some people will have the right kind of passport....

LOL. OK....
LOL
Although I can kind of identify with the "don't look and the problem might go away" mentality.... blush

Anyway, the wood carvings in the background look rather interesting!

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Elfy - 09-04-2021

Janie has a passport?

The "ostrich" approach is not always effective, but it is often reassuring.

An obscure U.S. law requires anyone 24-inches/60cm in height or over to possess a passport for international travel.  Oh My

(It's remotely highly possible that I did not read the fine print on the application accurately.)

4 Smartember - Trivia Found a Wishing Rock

Thank you to our friends Red, Sunsette, and Allie for teaching us about Wishing Rocks!

Traditional Wishing Rock Lore requires the finder to make a wish and then toss the rock in to the sea. However, Wishing Rocks are much less common where I live... not to mention, the sea is 900 miles away... so instead we (The Smart Doll gang and I) made a wish and then carefully set the rock in our Visualization Shrine. The Visualization Shrine has apparently been on the fritz for a while; here's hoping this is the part it needed to bring it back to full functionality.

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Alliecat - 09-05-2021

There seems to be some disagreement over whether multiple stripes count or it has to be only one. I had to go google it myself. Funny that the first video I found was made just up the bay from here. I watched it thinking, "that scenery could be here". haha. Anyway, it's cool that you found one!

Oooh, now this sounds interesting! Do we get to see it?
Hopefully that will realign the machinery. Although I think they often come with some hefty temporal distortion, i.e. a significant delay in output.

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Elfy - 09-05-2021

I’m going to have to see if I can find one of the wishing rocks. Smart Dolls are 24 inches tall? That’s 2 feet! That’s a big doll!

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Lejays17 - 09-05-2021

I've been very slack with viewing / responding this week - sorry!

Looking forward to Smartember - like Elfy, I didn't think they were that big. I mean, I knew they were bigger that then regular fashion doll sizes, but not that much bigger.

Love the remote controlled car - and that you drove it around for ages without losing anyone/thing! We have trouble driving ours around the court without someone sliding around smile

The wishing stone sounds great - I hope that it fixes the glitch in the Visualisation matrix soon!

Okay, sure!

Yes, that generally seems to be the case.

Perhaps you can look for one on your next trip to the beach. Although if what I'm hearing about Australia is true, it sounds like you will need a Wishing Rock to even get to the beach!

They're even bigger when measured in centimeters!

As do I! We shall be wishing good things for your part of the world!

5 Smartember - Triv carefully adds her recently discovered Wishing Stone to her Visualization Shrine

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Alliecat - 09-06-2021

Ah, that's cute. And of course I love the Hawaiian content smile
Again neat lighting!

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Elfy - 09-06-2021

That is very cute, and I think of all your dolls, Triv would be the one who would believe in a wishing stone.

RE: davidd’s A DOLL A DAY 2021 - Lejays17 - 09-06-2021

Triv looks very wistful in these shots.

The pretend flames are very effective lighting, and tge little Hawaiian dolls are just perfect.
