...yeah, big bucks for the prize...  xp

I love these brilliant yellow lilies.  I waited a little too late in the day though, and now they're past their peak.  Sigh, time goes so fast.

She's pretty. Which Pullip is she?
I love lilies! One of my favourite flowers. Yellow ones are kinda rare where I'm at, though. The pinks and whites are the most common.

It's Catwoman.  One I never thought I would get smile
They aren't super common here either, I don't think.  These ones seemed exceptionally yellow.  Sadly, they were done very quickly.
It kind of depends where things are, how big or fast they grow.  Much of that garden isn't great because of all the tree roots under it, so things don't grow all that well in it.

You always do such an impressive job matching doll colours to flower colours. I don't know if this is reflective more of your doll collection or your flower garden. Do you intentionally plant flowers that match your dolls?

Very few deer or antelope around here this year, as the result of a continuing drought.

Haha.  Nope.  Especially considering the extremely limited selection at our one tiny garden shop.  I see something in bloom and think about who will match it.
Sadly, a week makes a huge difference and the small snapdragons have tanked.  Maybe not quick enough deadheading, maybe the heat, maybe cos they're getting overrun by the tall ones.  Whatever, they don't look very good  sad

Thank you smile

Lea's my girl for climbing on things, being so wonderfully poseable.  Also miraculously I managed not to lose the star that came unstuck from her shoe.
These are the grabbiest peas I've ever seen -- never had a variety with so many tendrils before.  They're also about 5x bigger than they ever got in the old garden.  I'm amazed.  Today I have a whole big bowl of peas to freeze.  Yum  smile
It's a twofer this week because otherwise I'll have one leftover pic to post "eventually" in the random pix thread, and because I only got 2 before the mosquitoes once again became intolerable.

I can scarcely believe now things GROW there! It’s amazing!

You must spend hours each day tending your flowers, plants, and vegetables.

Lea and the Beanstalk would be a fun story. She looks proud of herself for reaching the top, as well she should.

It is quite a bit of work... more now that I'm freezing a lot of veggies for winter.  I am watering every other day because it's been hot for days.  Then there's deadheading, and weeding, and I made more work for myself this year by trying broccoli, and this brings hours of picking off caterpillars slash
If the mosquitoes don't make it impossible I hope to get some pix in the "old" veg garden, which has really got somewhat out of control.  It's a bit of a jungle at the moment.

Well, there are beans too, so she could climb them smile  I think I've had her climbing the sunflowers in the past; they're bigger...

More dolls gardening.
Last year when Red was here there was a pumpkin big enough for her to sit on.  This year I'm still trying to get one of the flowers to "take"  sad  0 for 3 so far.  Apparently I am not getting up early enough to pollinate them??  sad

Geez I hope so... running out of time.  It's 5th & 6th now.  This time I dragged out extra early, and had some help from a bee, and the pistils looked different later in the day, and the little pumpkin-stub flower bases look really good after a couple of days.  I am hopeful these ones "took".

They do look quite absorbed there, don't they.  Wish I could put a bunch of them to work  LOL

Under the tomatoes & beans, the old veg garden is looking a bit pandoran.  Too bad it doesn't glow...

Don't worry - toxic runoff from the construction yard next door will soon have your garden glowing! And your eyes, too!

I did take the pic-a-week on time, just couldn't post last night because of the forum glitch.
Here's Aloalo very early in the morning with a pumpkin flower.

All looks much brighter and cheerier than I look or feel early in the morning.

Happy to see the forum back up and running.
