Dolly Market Forum

Yesterday I went through my closet and found this shirt that looked really cute, unfortunately it didn't fit me anymore but I REALLY liked that pattern so I decided to use it for dolly clothes!

I first made my Pullip Claire a shirt! It came out super cute!


Next I did the same thing but made it longer so it was a dress


Later that day I was looking at the shirt more and noticed that the pockets were about the same size as the hoods for pullips hoodies! Without a pattern and working soley with the image in my mind, it took 2 hours and a lot of revisions but I was able to make Sora a zip up hoodie!!


I really like everything I made! ^ ^

Adorable! I do the same thing with my old clothes. I turned an old dress into a tank top & then made Emerald a dress out of the scraps. Didn't work with a pattern (I never do) but I modeled it to look exactly like the dress where the scraps came from.



Old clothes are a great way to practice. ^^

My sewing attempts never come out this nice Super jealous, of your amazing work! You should do this more often.

SavannahFaery, I love how your clothes turned out, especially the hoodie. Teslithia, that dress is pretty! i also upcycle (my kids') outgrown clothes into doll outfits...it is a great way to keep around a print you are fond of.

the hoodie is really cute! post a pattern maybe?? Im stuck in kimono mode at the moment lol but would love to start making some more modern clothing.

I may try to make a pattern, i didn't really use one though ^ ^' it was more of an improvision thing D:

we should make a forum on DIY dolly clothes and patterns! or is there one already?? I just got a bunch of new fabrics that i can't wait to start making a new line of dresses and clothes out of.

I would love a thread/new area on the forum for sewing stuff! ^ ^ That way we could all share patterns and such!
