Random idea during another photoshoot turned into a lot longer shoot. I used to do this with flowers.

Sunsette ("because the world revolves around meeeee...")

Thanks for looking smile
I love these series of photos...may I ask how you did them?
What fun.
And I second the question please!
Wow they look very cool!
And yes sunsette the world revolves around you smile
VERY cool! I love Penny's shot. The colors all flow together so nicely!
Awesome! I love the underwater-y feeling of Penny's.
Thanks everybody smile It's actually really easy; all you need is a sheet of acetate (like transparency film). You just have to roll it up, line it up with some good reflections, and shoot down the tube. Used to do this with flowers and a closeup lens:

Had never thought of doing it with dolls & flash. You don't know what you're going to get with the flash, as it changes the reflections a lot. The second light was a bit too much and bleached things out.

(As you can see, it doesn't take much room and I didn't even clear the clutter off the table blush )
That is amazing I would have never guessed but now I know I can see it smile thank you
Wow! The flower photo is really pretty! smile
That's so interesting! Thanks for sharing! When I saw the first photo, my first impression was that I was looking into a tuba or something of that nature.
Thank you for sharing the trick, the pictures look amazing! I'm with everyone who mentioned Penny especially, it looks like she really is underwater. smile
Thanks everybody smile Now I want to do some more...!
Love 'em!
Just can't look too long or they start to induce a headache Tongue
This gives off such a neat effect! It looks like fun to try out! yay
