I don’t know any of the comic characters…. I know a Sam Wilson; it’s a girl! LOL
Elwood looks eminently huggable.
Those wings are amazing. I quite like Sam in the movies.
He looks great. He’s my 2nd favourite character in the MCU, and I can’t wait to see his tv series when it’s on.
Thanks, all! Glad to see the figure was liked. Sam is one of my top favourite MCU characters, so yes, I am very glad people liked him.

236. G is for Groot

[Image: 73834857_3278d3b01c2e6536506d8eb880150c7f_standard.jpg]

Another Marvel Legends figure, and today it is Groot. Groot is a Flora colossus and the accomplice of Rocket Raccoon. While quite a mild manner, gentle being, it's still never a good idea to get Groot upset or angry at you, as he is capable of being quite vicious. But, of course, his figure it a representation of his more gentle side.
My first thought was that he's an Ent... How tall is this character? Like a human or like a tree?
I am Groot. Groot is awesome, even Baby Groot.
Someday I might catch up on some of these popular movies.
Maybe he is a cousin to ents? LOL
He’s an alien race that look like and act like trees. The only words he can say in a language that we can understand is ‘I am Groot.’. Vin Diesel (who voices the character) gives those 3 words a remarkable range of meanings and emotions.

I think Space Ent would be a good way to describe Groot. When he's fully grown, he's tree sized, though as always with comics that can vary by panel. Let's say 'very tall' though possibly on the smaller size for an Ent.

Baby Groot was such a clever move on the film-makers parts.

Like I just said to neon, lol, space ent is probably the best way to ex.plain it.

If you've seen clips of Vin Diesel's recording sessions, he always brings his script, which he has covered in notes to ex.plain what each 'I am Groot' should be able to convey. The guy does a fantastic job, is what I'm getting at.

237. H is for Harley Quinn

[Image: 73878203_0d525a7506302020378266ee070d2b94_standard.jpg]

(Yes, I'll be posting a lot of figures - I found my little storage box of them)

Today is Harley Quinn! More infamously known as the Joker's girlfriend, Harley is an interesting character in her own right. Created for the animated series in the 1990s, Dr Harleen Quinzel was a respected psychiatrist who was looking to understand the motivations of the Joker. Unfortunately for her, she didn't realise just how good he was at manipulation...

The Joker and Harley because one of the most destructive relationships in all of comics. It seems like - FINALLY - in the recent years she has shook him off, and set out on her own. This figure comes from the Amanda Connor's run on Harley's on title in the mid-2010s, where she got into roller derby. Which yeah, does fit her well.
I like her striking two-tone hair!
I prefer the Margot Robbie version of Harley, but this does look more like what the name implies.

Oh funny thing I found out - Margot Robbie is supposed to play a live action Barbie!

238. I is for Ianto

Ianto Jones, Torchwood's 'coffee boy'. Okay, that's rather unfair actually, as Ianto was a very skilled individual when it came to researching and finding the alien threats that Torchwood faced. He also came up with a very good system of cataloguing what they left behind and I don't think their base would have functioned well without him. This is from the Torchwood line of figures, and he's fantastic. About 5.5" tall. Very in fitting with the Doctor Who figures - which makes sense since Torchwood was a spin-off of that show.
The last greoup of figures are great. An excellent way to move through the next round of alphabet.

I have a Funko Baby Groot in his pot on my bedside table, he makes me smile to see it.

Ianto is a very underrated character, even by his own team
Now I suddenly want to do a Torchwood rewatch...
No idea what's going on. This is very adventurous round of A-Z for me!
