Bahahaha! This gave me a good laugh. First the box, and then the cardboard pizza.
The behind-the-scenes pix are always fun too -- I get a kick out of seeing the packing materials that make up your cool backgrounds.
Is that one of the rooms made from pizza boxes, or would that be too meta?

This room box is partially framed with pizza boxes, yes, augmented with foam core board. That pizza box cardboard is good stuff., thick and rigid. Plus, it has the "hinge" built in for constructing articulated corners.

They're such fun little workbench pals.

In theory, I am trying to make tiny books.
In practice, I am making a big mess.
Well the covers look promising...
Instead of drippy school glue I'd recommend Aleene's Tacky Glue -- you only need a little and it holds quickly. I used it for my teeny tiny miniature kits (and wish I could get time to do more!) and in some cases applied it with toothpicks or pinpoints.

That's a good suggestion. I'll try to get some. Although I'll be leaving Florida in about a week and a half, so craft projects will shortly be on hold for a while.

8 March - Behind the Scenes: Work in Progress
The cast continues their pizza lunch break between scenes.
There have been a few addtions to the surf shop diorama over the past week. Note more books on the top shelf, a couple of new posters on the walls, some sawhorses, and a work in progress cardboard surfboard, which will have to do for now, until the budget allows for a "store bought" board with clean lines and nicely finished rails.
Shop looks good!
Lot of unknown files kickin around these days

That Sinking Feeling
It's a good thing Janie likes doing stuff like this. Of course, it's easier for her than it is for me. She can access the space under the sink much more easily than can I.
And yes, both Janie and I know that "flexible" sink fittings are a bad idea. That's what was there, so that's what we're putting in for now. We'll install a decent drain pipe system under the kitchen sink next fall if we come back.
I have never even seen a "flexible sink fitting".
What ever would the girls do if you found a house that WASN'T a fixer??

Is there such a thing? If so, I want one!

Mini Mermaid Marketplace
Well? Did you get one? Will there be a poem about it?
They're kinda cute.

Same. I think they're out there......

Did not get one. I have an older version of the smaller size, from back when they were called Magic Mermaid Sea Party, like, a decade ago.
The poems are supposed to be about Dals or Pullips, I thought, so no poem.
Yeah, they're kind of cute in a kitschy knock-off sort of way.
