RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 18 Dec. 2020. p. 9) - Elfy - 12-20-2020 Sorry t hear about your mother. I lost mine some years ago. It can be hard to deal with. Your Christmas shot is great, we do it with our crew, they’re hard work, but also fun. RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 18 Dec. 2020. p. 9) - werepuppy - 12-20-2020 I'm so sorry for your loss. Your photos are fantastic, and so vibrant. RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 18 Dec. 2020. p. 9) - Loona - 01-04-2021 Lovely photos, as always! The Christmas family photo looks classy - and Nanette pays a beautiful tribute to your mother. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss - November marked my tenth year without my mother (it's unbelievable to write that number down), and the void is still there. It will always be. Even if losing our elders is how things naturally happen, it still feels so unnatural to be without someone who, as Alliecat has very well described, is one of the foundation stones of your life and has always been there until that day. I'm sending some strength over your way, in hope it will help you cope with that void and the feeling of disbelief. RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 18 Dec. 2020. p. 9) - Aijo - 01-24-2021 Thank you all for such kind words and encouragement. It is wonderful to read your kind words and to know that many if you have ex-perienced such loss. I thank you for your support. It really warms my heart. RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 18 Dec. 2020. p. 9) - Aijo - 01-27-2021 New pictures this week! Playing with black backgrounds this time around! This awesome pictures of Sawyer really kicked it off, and I decided to do some portraits with black backgrounds. Red on Black by Melissa B. Perry, on Flickr Gianna on Black by Melissa B. RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 26 Jan. 2021. p. 10) - Elfy - 01-27-2021 Love Gianna, everything about that pic is just so wow! RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 26 Jan. 2021. p. 10) - Alliecat - 01-28-2021 Very nice portraits. Are you using additional lamps for the black-background ones, or just flash on/off camera? They all look very chic. RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 26 Jan. 2021. p. 10) - Aijo - 01-28-2021 Thank you everyone! I'm glad you like them! @Alliecat: I use natural lighting from my window in all my photographs. RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 26 Jan. 2021. p. 10) - GreysPrincess - 01-31-2021 Ooh, I especially love that pic of Gianna! RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 26 Jan. 2021. p. 10) - Loona - 02-01-2021 Ohhh, Shion is still massively enabling, but this time little Iolite stole the show! I see her hair has grown - I think this new, longer wig really suits her! RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 26 Jan. 2021. p. 10) - Aijo - 02-01-2021 @GreysPrincess: Thank you so much! I'm glad you do! ^^ @Loona: You're welcome to go out and buy that Yuri! She really is lovely! Yes, Iolite's hair has grown some! I wanted something a bit more polished for her. ^^ RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 26 Jan. 2021. p. 10) - Aijo - 03-13-2021 Hello everyone! Last weekend, I was working on a diorama project for Sawyer's apartment. I made an apartment diorama for her back in 2013, so this is the updated and ex-panded version! I made much of the furniture with the exception of two chairs, a nightstand, a bookcase, and table. It was a very fun--albeit time-consuming project, but I am so happy with how it turned out, and I can't wait to use it in my upcoming photostory! Enjoy! Did you make the couch, bed…? The door is probably wider than it looks in the photo, but it made me smile thinking, imagine having a head so big you would have to worry about getting through doorways! Have you made other rooms? RE: Aijo's Dolls (updated 12 Mar. 2021. p. 10) - Aijo - 03-14-2021 Thank you Allie! Yes, I made most of the furniture, with the exception of a couple chairs, a table, a nightstand, and a bookcase. Everything else is handmade crafting! The door was really fun to make. I did have to use a doll for reference; that doorways has to be big enough for those big heads after all! Not yet. I am in the process of planning some other dioramas and collecting materials. |
