RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#40, Oct. 8) - Alliecat - 10-09-2022 The forum display is all messed up for me. Is it just me? The boxes and quote options and neat layout are gone; it's just a lot of text jammed together Poppy does have some nice little colour streaks in her hair. I like how these dolls' hair really glows in the sun. There are always a few straggler butterflies. I'm not too optimistic for their chances, as it's too cold for them to fly under 13C if I recall, and this time of year unless they're in the sun it might take a long time for them to get warmed up and ready to fly -- thus losing time and not heading south. I guess they're the result of some very hot weather through the summer, where some hatchlings that should have been ready to migrate, emerged ready to mate instead. Anyway, I sent the last one off a couple of days ago. More pix of Poppy to come, but for today, here's Celeste with a rose purchased from a Ukrainian gypsy in a mall parking lot. RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#40, Oct. 8) - dargosmydaddy - 10-09-2022 My display is all messed up, too. Beautiful rose and picture! RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#41, Oct. 15) - Alliecat - 10-16-2022 Thanks Really, REEEEALLLLLYYY late this week.... >sigh< symptom of the general disorder and malaise of my life... technically I didn't take the picture this week (first time ever for pic-a-week, I think) because it was after midnight. But, I'm still up, so I'm counting it. RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#41, Oct. 15) - davidd - 10-17-2022 Or... are you really really early? Because it looks like a Christmas picture! It's a pretty pic, with the mysterious colorful internal lighting. And you can always attribute the "lateness" to forum glitches and nobody will question the excuse! RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#41, Oct. 15) - dargosmydaddy - 10-17-2022 Such pretty lights! If I tried to photograph something like that it would be a dim, blurry mess. RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#41, Oct. 15) - fishy - 10-18-2022 It's such a cheery pic. . Looks warm. RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#42, Oct. 20) - Alliecat - 10-21-2022 Thanks all. Samantha & Red are happy to introduce Mr Pumpkin's beautiful twins RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#42, Oct. 20) - davidd - 10-22-2022 Fun, and slightly spooky, nighttime pumpkin patch photo. Are they hoping this is the most "sincere" pumpkin patch, and that the Great Pumpkin will arise? Did you remember to save seeds from the Pumpkin Twins? RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#42, Oct. 20) - dargosmydaddy - 10-24-2022 Adorable! Red looks like she's about to try sliding off... wheeee! Red looks like she's about to try sliding off... wheeee! They did, actually, keep sliding off although Samantha did it more. (10-22-2022, 09:24 AM)davidd Wrote: Did you remember to save seeds from the Pumpkin Twins?Oh boy. Did I mention distraction....?....? I do have some seeds. I'm not telling how I managed to salvage them this time. --------------- Really limping along here with all these late photos, but, I took it yesterday, so it counts. Tonight's post was delayed by the need to freeze carrots and make pumpkin ice cream. I didn't realize what a bad blurry shot it was till too late and done. But it was getting cold with a very abrupt end to summery temperatures, and I had 2 pumpkins rather than my usual one to do, and somewhere to go later. Anyway, here's the crew at work. Somehow, Daesani ends up with the knife every year. "Can you reach the seeds?" "Red, I swear, if you let go...." RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#43, Oct. 29) - davidd - 10-30-2022 Did the helpers actually help, or did they merely add to the chaos… as well as to the fun? The whole group looks adorably industrious, though. Quote:Did I mention distraction....?....? Maybe next year you need to tattoo "SAVE THE SEEDS" directly on the pumpkin? Well, I guess I did That Thing, where you preview and then don't actually post ....did I mention distraction....? So the crew's Halloween greeting is late. Anyway, here it is. I got the Pumpkin Twins lit after all in spite of their funny shapes, although they didn't want to stand up. Fortunately no one fell over on fire. RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#44, Oct. 31) - davidd - 11-03-2022 Oh, the Glamor Gals celebrate Hallow... Dolloween this year! They make a stylish crew, with "fashion model-esque" tall and slim jack-o-lanterns, too! RE: PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2022** (#44, Oct. 31) - Alliecat - 11-13-2022 I never thought about the tall J-Dolls and tall pumpkins Brother & Sister Pumpkin are all squared away for the winter -- they made amazing soup and muffins. Lots of pumpkin-y things to come. Darla's travels around the world a few years ago were pretty exhausting. So much so in fact that shortly after she arrived, her arm fell off She hasn't been doing much since, and we've made do with jackets and shirts to keep it on. Recently her LEG, which also must've been weakened from her activities, also came off!! Minis are fragile! Handle with care! Disaster averted, the PTFCo Wardrobe Dept. had a couple of spare bodies, and I finally got brave enough to open her head -- not hard at all -- so now she is pleased to show off a brand new body! Yay!! I also took the opportunity to fix her very messy hair, so she's had quite a makeover. Now she can wear nice dresses again. And one more pic cos I couldn't make up my mind which one for pic of the week. |
