RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - davidd - 11-15-2021 Marvelous brown sweater. It looks very cozy. I remember that background! It’s the fence that totally had me convinced that a photo from several weeks ago was taken inside a greenhouse. Then once you ex.plained what the background actually was, I couldn’t believe how my eyes and brain had been so off the mark. (This time the fence looks like a fence.) RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - Elfy - 11-15-2021 It's a very autumnal shot. Backyard instead of front The front has the flowers (and the faux graveyard at Halloween), the back has the tomatoes, the little pine tree that the dolls can "climb," and the massive one that James is posing beneath. Quote:I remember that background! It’s the fence that totally had me convinced that a photo from several weeks ago was taken inside a greenhouse. See, davidd knows my backyard Week forty-six (a bit late...) RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - davidd - 11-26-2021 Cleverly disguised as festive vegetables! Let’s hope an avid Thanksgiving Day chef doesn’t happen by seeking that one final ingredient! RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - Alliecat - 11-26-2021 Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Her ringlets and green eyes are fabulous. He looks a little sceptical RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - dargosmydaddy - 12-06-2021 I think I'm still a week behind... limping to the finish line of 2021 here... Week forty-seven RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - Elfy - 12-06-2021 She's got both a bewitching and a beguiling look. I really like her jumper. I seem to like all of the knitwear your dolls have. RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - Alliecat - 12-06-2021 Very cute. She has lovely eyes. And you still have greenery for the background?? Is that an evergreen somethingorother? RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - dargosmydaddy - 12-07-2021 Quote:And you still have greenery for the background?? Is that an evergreen somethingorother? Yes, it's some kind of evergreen... everything else is properly brown and icky, as evidenced by the prize picture I took for the Dal House Forum on the same day. Quote: I really like her jumper. I seem to like all of the knitwear your dolls have. It's a Christmas sweater ornament I got at Target for $3. She's wearing it backwards because the front is super-gaudy (as Christmas sweaters are...). RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - davidd - 12-11-2021 Eyes match the sweater collar - so cuuuute! If she were real and this were junior high school, she'd be so far out of my league I never would have even spoken to her, but I'd have been majorly mega-crushing secretly from afar. RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - dargosmydaddy - 12-13-2021 Week Forty-eight Still a week behind... took half a dozen photos of Hattie chilling on the wreath, and every single one came out blurry... urgh. So I'm going with the least blurry. And 23hq has been a mess for me all month and takes forever to upload pictures. RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - Alliecat - 12-13-2021 Very festive! Cute the way she’s looking up at the bird. RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - Elfy - 12-13-2021 She’s very suspicious of the bird. RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - Lejays17 - 12-13-2021 The last few photos are very pretty. I like how Hattie is looking up at the bird, even if it’s a bit blurry. I hear you with the limping to the finish line this challenge - I just don’t seem to have the spare time to take nice photos at the moment. RE: **dargosmydaddy's doll-a-week 2021** - davidd - 12-14-2021 I can very much relate to settling for the “least blurry” photo. Recently it seems that I cannot hold the camera steady. I also end up snapping pics at nigh in dim light, which doesn’t help. In your wreath pic, however, the slight softness in the pic adds to the nostalgic holiday feel. I like it! |
