That's a thing that people do at the local yarn shop - hold the yarn near to their face to see how it suits them. But in Hattie's instance, it can go right round her neck.

They are very cute - different to the usual braid styles.

For sure! There's a definite pecking order of who gets something in what order
And Lottie is liable to stomp on toes to shove to the front of the line regardless

Nova (Winter) passes along the wool to Amelia (Spring). And a lovely bonus charm in the shape of a music note (dangling from the middle of the skein)

Nova is a perfect match for that one! I was also puzzled by the red/pink till I read your comment below the photo. And I liked your idea of 'winter' handing off the wool to 'spring'. Will be looking forward to seeing what you make with all these.
