RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - werepuppy - 12-20-2020 Ahh, that looks like a fun advent calendar! Looking forward to seeing the annual army photo! RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Alliecat - 12-21-2020 Hmm, sounds interesting! Thanks for posting it. How much cayenne would you use if you don't like really spicy things? (don't wanna do a Mrs Doubtfire ) RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Elfy - 12-21-2020 (12-21-2020, 11:06 AM)Alliecat Wrote: Hmm, sounds interesting! Thanks for posting it. More pepper and salt than cayenne. RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Elfy - 12-27-2020 On Christmas Day there were dolls given and received. Oddly enough I seemed to get more than Lejays this time. Evie got an addition to her Richmond Tiger supporting crew. This little fellow is called Damian (Dimma for short), he's named for Damian Hardwick; the team's coach, As evidenced by this picture, Evie loves him already. RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - davidd - 12-27-2020 Does anyone outside of your immediate household (excluding online friends) know that you collect dolls and toys? That's a very nice hoodie on Damian Bear, there! Back to back championships! Well done, Tigers! RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Lejays17 - 12-27-2020 They are so cute together! He's an excellent addition to the supporter crew on the spare chair. (we should reorganise it this week to display them all properly). My family knows about it - more me than him though. And ask any red-blooded sports-fan about the various figures you can buy in support of the team and they will mostly say they DON'T count as toys, they are Collectible Objects of Team Support or Memorabilia So he has a few Appropriate Collectibles... That accounts for the bears and plushies. But the "girl dolls".... RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - neon_jellyfish - 12-28-2020 Fluffy! It’s just us, I think. By the way Finn is mortally offended at being referred to as a ‘girl’ doll. Not being a big sports fan, my excuse is Poseable Art That You Can Interact With. That bear looks super cuddly. Good for squashy hugs in tense game moments, I'm sure! Haha, this is the advantage of being mentally eleven, I totally still play with dolls and plushies, and if someone judges me for that, they're basically proving that they don't have nearly as much fun in their life as I do RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - davidd - 12-29-2020 (12-28-2020, 08:33 AM)Elfy Wrote:(12-28-2020, 12:56 AM)davidd Wrote:(12-27-2020, 04:18 PM)Lejays17 Wrote: ... they DON'T count as toys, they are Collectible Objects of Team Support or Memorabilia So he has a few Appropriate Collectibles... I consider Finn an Action Figure, so he is exempt from any “doll shaming.” RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Alliecat - 12-29-2020 (12-28-2020, 09:58 PM)neon_jellyfish Wrote: I totally still play with dolls and plushies, and if someone judges me for that, they're basically proving that they don't have nearly as much fun in their life as I doHehe. I've encountered people like that while having immature fun. Too much fun is like too much garlic. Other people resent you having either RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Elfy - 12-29-2020 (12-29-2020, 01:00 AM)davidd Wrote:(12-28-2020, 08:33 AM)Elfy Wrote:(12-28-2020, 12:56 AM)davidd Wrote:(12-27-2020, 04:18 PM)Lejays17 Wrote: ... they DON'T count as toys, they are Collectible Objects of Team Support or Memorabilia So he has a few Appropriate Collectibles... Finn says he and his sisters stand as one. So they’re all “action figures,” then? Cool! I’m on board with that! |
