Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - TrueFan - 09-03-2013 Icarus and Ra Muw Modified Icarus Bocklebee, Icarus, Ra Muw, modified Ra Muw Rivet Bocklebee and Icarus Icarus and Bocklebee Ra Muw and Rivet Ra Muw and Rivet Hi! I'm Rivet! You might remember me. This is my sister Bocklebee. She is new! We don't look too much alike. RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - pixachii - 09-03-2013 Oh wow, I love Bocklebee's look. Those deep blue eyes are absolutely irresistible! RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - TrueFan - 09-03-2013 Thanks! They are custom painted glass animal eyes. I had intended to keep her stock eyes, just paint the backs, but they were both ruined when I knocked them out of her mech. They were really glued in there. RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - vadafade - 09-03-2013 Bocklebee is gorgeous! I love her dark eyes and dark hair. And, as much as the practical side of me is hesitant to admit it, I ADORE little pinafore/country-style ruffle dresses like your custom girls are wearing. They are so cute! Where did you find those dresses (or did you make them)? RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - ByronicHeroine - 09-03-2013 I like Ra Muw better stock, and Icarus customized. Those might not have been your fist pick for eyes, but I love them in Bocklebee. That wig is amazing too. RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - TrueFan - 09-03-2013 Vadafade: Ha, did I make them. No, I did not. I love dresses like this also. They were made by etsy seller sewgrandmacathy. I don't know if she is taking commissions now or not, but you can ask her. She mostly sews for American Girl and Blythe, but she has a Dal and she has made literally dozens of the dresses my Dals wear. She has sold almost 4000 items in her shop, but her husband died last year and her shop is not as active as it once was. But you can always ask! This style is called Country French. http://www.etsy.com/people/sewgrandmacathy ByronicHeroine - thanks! RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - beajjai033 - 09-03-2013 Rivet is so cute! And I like the sisters' outfits too. Both Steampunk Dals look different now - sweet country girls rather than punk. RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - Lilcurly - 09-03-2013 They all look great Your re-dressed girls look so cute <3 RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - Morning Marie - 09-03-2013 Those dresses are darling! So "Little House on the Prairies"! And Bocklebee is a brilliant name! RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - TrueFan - 09-03-2013 Thank you all! I was pleased to come up with Bocklebee to match Rivet. RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - Joichi - 09-14-2013 Aww i always love seeing your dals; I actually prefer Ra muw's 'diver/elorer' stock over Icarus 'Dragon-fly cat thing' (?) I'm considering putting Ra Muw on my want list (typos on my android phone ) RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - TrueFan - 09-14-2013 They are both beautiful, but I prefer Ra Muw overall as well. I just wish her dress wasn't quite so short. RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - lyricsoul - 09-15-2013 Wow your girls are so cute! You're making me want an Icarus. Bocklebee is so sweet. RE: Four little Steampunk Dals all in a row - TrueFan - 09-15-2013 Thanks! That's my aim - to get others to buy more Dals! Thanks for the information, True -- I have added her shop to my Etsy favorites. |
