Christmas dolly decor - Alliecat - 12-12-2015 How much longer does your Christmas decorating take when you have to redress half your dolls for the season...? I always have a lot of little decorations sitting around on the piano & tables, & the last couple of years it's been fun to make the dolls part of the display. I think someone commented here recently that they bought some sample-sale dolls(?) "for Christmas decor". A very good reason, isn't it! Daesani & Petra setting up the candles. They still need to get their holiday duds on. The minis had a go, too. Sunsette would've liked some rigging up this candle. Natalie emerged from her time-consuming wardrobe session in this pose. I'm not sure what she's thinking but I swear she did it all by herself... It was so funny I decided to let her hold the light string this way. The minis took over one end of the piano. Rosalind has been waiting for months to wear the Christmas outfit, so Scarlett gets to be princess for a while again. ... and see, I had to buy them that baby grand because, because... it's a Christmas decoration! (Marilyn's like, "I drank too much eggnog...") And the new girls got to take over the other minis' cabinet space for the holiday. Janice got a holiday dress & hat but she still looks a little grumpy. I think they need a calendar-page backdrop scene. Who else wants to share their dolly-decor pictures here? Post away! RE: Christmas dolly decor - Marilyn - 12-12-2015 These are all so stinkin' cute! But my favorite are "Daesani & Petra" (shhh…don't tell the tinies!) (12-12-2015, 01:49 PM)Alliecat Wrote: I think someone commented here recently that they bought some sample-sale dolls(?) I posted a little while ago to the DPT, but I'll share this evening's quick snap here too: RE: Christmas dolly decor - Alliecat - 12-12-2015 (12-12-2015, 02:52 PM)Marilyn Wrote: That's why I bought Carol & Rudolph! That was it! How cute! I love your crystal-looking tree. "Ooh shiny!!" RE: Christmas dolly decor - Offgenemi - 12-12-2015 Alliecat , your dolls are always having a lot of fun sometimes I want to join them they are also very helpful. I wish I couldn't listen to their little concert Marilyn you are right the two of them look great on that gorgeous tree. Ahh happy times RE: Christmas dolly decor - PullipPrincess - 12-13-2015 Aww! How sweet of them to help you decorate! That part about Marilyn drinking too much eggnog made me giggle. Janice also looks super cute in the outfit you put her in! <3 RE: Christmas dolly decor - Miss Edith - 12-14-2015 absolutely adorable <3 I LOVE the girls' new piano also love your first two wee grumpy faces (Pisces is gorgeous & Janis looks too cute) THe big girls are all doing good work helping you - Natalie looks very impressive (she probably needs to change out of that dress if she is gonna kick ass ) she also looks like she was into the 'nog with Marilyn Lovely xmas photos PS -This is Ms Scrooge's dwelling down in Oz so we don't do decorations RE: Christmas dolly decor - Missy_Crane - 12-15-2015 Awww this is all so nice and festive!! RE: Christmas dolly decor - Severity - 12-15-2015 My dolly Christmas picture: Vale looks a bit confused because this is their first Christmas, but they're good at following along with Cymballine's schemes, and if that means dressing up in gowns borrowed from Cymballine's mom's closet, so be it. Vale doesn't really understand Santa, but likes to wear the Santa hat! RE: Christmas dolly decor - martah - 12-15-2015 Love the festive looks! I never really re-dress my dolls or decorate their space for holidays, there were always too many of them to do so, it would cost an arm and leg, even though I really like festive colours and decorations. The only festive picture I have is from last year's photo challenge, where Rose was harassing me to get gifts. RE: Christmas dolly decor - martah - 12-15-2015 Thank you! and yes, Rose is not all well behaved but she is a Dal after all. I almost forgot that I did find a tiny real Christmas tree in a local supermarket while I was visiting my mum last week. I bought it but couldn't take it with me (train), mum will bring it on the 24th, so I might take some pictures of my Neo Noir, Crimson with it, even though she is not looking very festive. Real? as in potted and growing? Squee! The whole piano setup, with Crystal now sharing the top perch. I really think this crosses the line between "decorations incorporating dolls" and "LOOKIHAVEMORE, HERETHEYARE" ... but heck, they got dressed up for Christmas so I had to find someplace for them to sit. RE: Christmas dolly decor - DeadlyNova - 12-20-2015 I've taken a few Christmas photos this year, but I do want to take some more! Here is a moderately Christmassy photo(They have a Christmas scarf!) I took today: Raleigh and Erasmus by Haley, on Flickr That scarf is supposed to be a wine bottle decoration. Addy by Haley, on Flickr I took my Rovam to a Christmas party the other day and took a few photos of her in a Santa hat! I already posted this photo in the Daily Photo Thread a few days ago, but here is my most Christmassy photo yet this year: Bah Humbug by Haley, on Flickr I found a tiny tree at Walmart, but at 13 inches tall it's SLIGHTLY too short for Pullips to use and look realistic. It looks okay appearing in the corner of a photo, though. I'm definitely going to take more Christmas photos before Christmas is over! EDIT: D: by Haley, on Flickr "Hey, trees aren't supposed to bend like that when you climb them!" RE: Christmas dolly decor - Pink Haired Freak - 12-22-2015 You know what's odd, I'm usually always a Scrooge. But this year I've really been in the spirit and I think all this happy dolly christmas goodness is really helping! |
