Overseas adventures-photo heavy - Offgenemi - 05-25-2016 Thanks to everyone who gave me great ideas before i left with a full size doll and little obitsu hybrid. The mr clean pads came in handy. I forgot to take a teflon tape, that would have been nice since Yona's joints became loose for moving and posing so many times. I also forgot hand-set of obitsu girl, that was unfortunate because she got stuck with same awkward set of hands. In Turkey, people were so sweet and kind, they got very interested in Mirabelle (pullip Yona). Men and women took her photos and asked questions. An old lady asked why i take her photos and i told her it is my hobby and she said oh it is something like having cats as pets i was nearly going to burst out laughing they offered us tea and food, they were lovely. In the capital city i didnt do much of photography but when i did simply people didnt pay attention. so I was not bothered at all. In Germany, again no one paid any attention. I was relaxed and took whatever photo i wanted. I didnt feel any weird looks on me. Also to my surprise my family and friends were very supportive, dad offered places for photos and suggested poses, and friends got toys for the girls. I am very happy with their response because i was eecting snarky comments. mirabelle with a bunch of flowers. she wants to be a botanist and kitty will be her assistant , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr My new girl still nameless, i want a Turkish name. i have to research. , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr I love this photo with the car, it looks like a movie scene , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr This photo above is to give the scale of the King graves. , on Flickr , on Flickr Amasya downtown. Amasya is adorned with 2000 year old King Graves carved into the mountain. It also was a popular city during Ottoman Empire ( within the last a few hundred years). Several other kingdoms settled in this city for the last ~7K years. Thus it is full of contrasting cultures. by goche moche, on Flickr , on Flickr Lake Borabay is located on top of a mountain near my hometown Amasya we used to go there for picnics and I had lots of adventures hiking around it. It never gets old for me to go there Mirabelle enjoyed her picnic as well Mirabelle is learning how to weave a carpet , on Flickr tea is offered wherever you go in Turkey Probably looks weird in the photo but that baklava on the left the green spiral one is full of pistachio and hence the color. if you every see it make sure you try it! , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr , on Flickr RE: Overseas adventures-photo heavy - PoisonedDeath - 05-25-2016 Looks like you and your girls had fun on your adventure! RE: Overseas adventures-photo heavy - dargosmydaddy - 05-25-2016 Wow, what a great set of photos! I am in love with Mirabelle and all her outfits (especially the aqua cardigan and that orange dress-- I'm not normally a fan of orange, but she rocks it!). Thank you you are so kind the aqua cardigan belongs to midge. Maybe it was a fashionista pack? It was a nicely articulated midge. Maybe I should try make it in different colors. I love that piece as well. The orange dress is a Blythe dress I made for my only Blythe but Mirabelle can wear r too I was kind of worried if it felt too orange so I am glad you liked it. That jacket is precious and there is no way I can make it ) it is little dal white rabbit's jacket. Since she was wearing it over fur rabbit outfit it is bigger and it fits obitsu 11cm nicely. I got lucky with lots of cute items around. I even found a gas lamp well four of them but since they were still filled with gas I didn't take the risk to upset TSA. I really wanted to bring them with me |
