PrettyTiny Film Company pic a week 2018 (The end!! Dec. 31)) - Alliecat - 01-07-2018

Oh boy...  Late to the party, but as I tick over an auspicious 2600 posts (Oh My) it does sound kinda fun.  It IS still the first week of the year....
I really think "life" and bad memory will interfere with sticking to this, but, we all start grand things at New Year's, don't we.  I suspect quite a few will be like davidd's "last moment crummy little snap" description.
Anyway, to start things off, here is (of course) PTFCo's fearless leader (who is seeking an endorsement deal of our favourite camera brand... smile )

Way back a bazillion years ago... or maybe it was only a dozen years ago... one of the more active members of the now-defunct Pinky-Street forum hosted a website devoted to Pentax cameras and Pinky-Street dolls, called Pinky Pentax! The site is no longer actively updated, but it's still accessible, and illustrates how well-suited Pentax cameras are for doll and toy photography.

My first "serious" camera (back when film was still a thing, just before digital took over) was a Pentax.

Good luck to the PTFCo in their Photo-A-Week endeavor!

Yay yay yayyy! I had everything crossed, maybe that Sunsette would spot the thread & nag you into it LOL

So many people doing this (including my 3 favourite photographers straight ) increases my chances of sticking with it by a zillion. Plus, guaranteed regular photos of some of my favourite families -- & meeting new ones grin

Sunsette, anyone seeing the photo with your camera should snap you up Heart 2

Thank you, everybody! Wow, it's awesome to see so much activity here at DM. Let's hope we are all here in a year congratulating each other (and ourselves) on posting All Those Photos! smile

Was it a K1000, by any chance...?? Best camera ever made Heart 2 I miss mine immensely but can't get film done these days. Wow, the Pinky Pentax site -- someone is clearly a huge fan and put a lot of work into it. I thought it was a neat and well-organized site; cute photos too.

Week 2, woohoo!
This isn't a cheat; my Christmas dolly stuff is still up until I'm sure I'm finished taking pictures of it. So, getting an early start on this week grin

My Pentax camera was a ME SE, which was basically a K1000 with a couple of exposure compensation buttons on top. I sold it years ago, when it was worth practically nothing, of course, and occasionally regret having done so.

Getting an early start? If you become any more enthusiastic, you might have to turn this into A Doll A Day!

Looks like you had a cute holiday scene set up. I haven't put away my Christmas props either, but at this point they're more in a pile than in any kind of scene.

the girls are so pretty, the colours stand out against each other, my favourite thing though is the way they are staring in awe at the tree. And the reason I love your photos so much is that you can make thinking "those tiny plastic dolls are staring in awe" seem so natural smile

RE: PrettyTiny Film Company pic a week 2018 - DeadlyNova - 01-09-2018

Adorable photo, nothing wrong with a little late Christmas spirit!

Aw, thank you so much grin The funny thing is, the tree is beside and a little behind them. I realize now that one can't tell that from the photo. And that's the whole challenge for me, having grown up with landscape and scenic photography... to make them look like they are alive.

Thank you guys grin

WEEK 3... woohoo.
Mirodoll is having a photo contest. So we are skipping to the most recent arrival in the crew. Poor Annie just got here and does not even have her own hair yet, let alone shoes. But, she had her first official shoot out back today; it was "only" -1C. I decided it was too cold to mess with the tripod; thus camera-shake reigned. The only thing worse than stumbling over all the fallen branches in the woods is stumbling over all the fallen branches when they are frozen to the ground. And I ripped my favourite jeans Rawr!
Anyway, week 3. Winter fairy.

(Bonus outtake: being a supermodel is so glamorous.)

hahahaha @ the glamour.

I don't think I knew you have a huge bjd. If I did it fell through one of the growing holes in my memory. The wings look pretty on her and it looks cold. The scene she is sitting amidst is just gorgeous, stretches my imagination not at all to think "faery" grotto <3
