10 October – Phase One – Mini-Deck Complete!

A small part of a larger project has been completed successfully!

Congrats on finishing the mini-deck!

The girls seem so proud of themselves

Congrats! Their new house (I'm having hard time trying to imagine it could be anything else) is coming along nicely!

11 October – "Trivia? Will you come help me, please?"

"How many of these things do we need to paint, Janie?"
"Only... fifty... or so."
"Or... so?"
"Fifty-two. And a half, if you count the broken one."

Ehm... That looks like, er, fun? Go, girls, you can do it! And beware of splinters!

RE: davidd's A Doll A Day 2019 - werepuppy - 10-12-2019

Well, I'm sure they'll be able to get it done

RE: davidd's A Doll A Day 2019 - Elfy - 10-12-2019

Given where this is splinters wouldn’t bother me, it’s the rattlers that could be the concern.

Rattlesnakes are always a potential hazard, but in this case the girls are working well above the ground. Also, with the nights getting cooler, below freezing in fact, snakes, in theory at least, should be less of a concern at this time.

12 October – Slow but Steady Progress

Applying wood sealer to the wooden poles turned in to a multi-day project, but the weather was cooperative and the girls persevered.

It must be hard to use brushes this big! And working quite high above the ground on such a tricky surface (or lack thereof)! Kudos, girls!
