Belle looks very comfortable like this.

Locksley looks very, very comfortable. Belle seems quite happy to be cuddled up there/

Awwww!

RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - davidd - 06-29-2020

I wonder what will happen if Belle falls asleep and Locksley gets hungry?

RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Alliecat - 06-29-2020

Oh, he’s sweet. He looks like a wonderful huggable big TV-watching buddy, like my tiger.

Locksley is very cuddly, and dolls do not form any part of his diet. All of our girls like hugging him.

Ah, that's good to know! I do have another fear though - what if he falls asleep, lays down and someone accidentally gets buried under him? She seems big enough to cover an unlucky girl completely Oh My
He's otherwise very cute though, and seems lovely. Reminds me of my biiig cuddly frog friend, Musa, who came to live with me on my 10th birthday. I cuddled with him and slept with him up until early adulthood, but he stayed when I moved away&in with my (then not yet) husband. Now he's in storage - he was packed away with my stuff when the flat I grew up in got sold, and since we are now renting, I can't yet bring all that stuff here. I'm looking forward to the time I can, and I'll try to fix him up when that happens. We've been through a lot together, he deserves better than to be in a dark box after all that...

Loona, your dog sounds a lot like Teddy. He’s my first one, I’ve had him since I was born, so he’s old and precious.
I told Elfy that he was non-negotiable when we moved in together. I could put most everything else into storage, but Teddy had to move in too.
He now sits on my bed-side table.

Ah, you're a better companion then... Teddy is lucky. I still feel sorry for leaving Musa behind, but when we first moved together, it was into an apartment we rented, and me being a university student with a student loan, I paid considerably less compared to then-not-yet husband who was working and had his own income, so I kind of I felt I the need to make compromises wherever I can. And today, 10 years later, we sadly still rent, and while we divide things equally, we've also brought in (and also accumulated) tons of things during the decade, so my storage boxes just cannot yet come in. I'll get them as soon as we finally manage to buy a flat of our own.

Horrible weather and I'm pressed for time, so this week's photo is not the most inspired.

I was prompted to take this by neonjellyfish's 10 years since MH started. When the line started down here what attracted Lejays to them was the fact that they had plush versions of the plastic dolls. We have more than 4, but these were the easiest available and they're what I think of as the core 4. So we have Cleo and Clawdeen on the top row and Frankie and Lala on the bottom. The plushies also came with a pet, who I don't think ever appeared in any of the other lines.

Yay, MH ragdolls! Never seen them in person. The original signature dolls used to come with pets up to 2013, plus FdC (2015) had two of the pets - Clawdeen's Crescent and Twyla's Dustin.

These are the earlier verisons of the plushies as well, the did a second line, which are much more unattractive.  Well, to me at least.
we've got the ones in the style of the first photo.

Here's the "pretty" Frankie

I have to admit, I do prefer the more rag doll-esque look, with the buttons for eyes.

RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - davidd - 07-08-2020

Interesting! I was not aware of the second line or style of plush figs!

RE: Elfy's Doll a Week 2020 - Alliecat - 07-08-2020

I hadn’t seen them either. Looks like someone decided the ragdoll style was a little too cute? It’s like they tried to make the second line look more like the plastic dolls. How big are they?
