Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! (belated encore) - Alliecat - 10-31-2020 The PTFCo crew would like to wish everyone a happy H'ALOHAween! Because it's freezing out; because we had to do the photos indoors; and because our hearts are somewhere warmer... Had to shoot in the doorway with flash because it was gloomy & raining. The puking pumpkin is our standard design... ...but pineapples are very much going to be a Thing around here. All ready for the party... ...and nobody brings the party like the minis! Not to be outdone...! She wanted her own closeup. It's cold outside. Spread some aloha! Thanks for looking (P.S. Every part of the pumpkin is useable! Don't waste them! I have recipe links if anyone wants them. Mr Pumpkin had 2 dozen delicious pumpkin-gut-muffin children last night ) RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - neon_jellyfish - 10-31-2020 I love your hallotropic(al) party, or H'ALOHAween! What an idea! RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - werepuppy - 10-31-2020 This is a fantastic idea. I love the pineapple lantern! RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - dargosmydaddy - 11-01-2020 The jack o' pineapple is awesome! Love how much fun everyone appears to be having! Quote:Mr Pumpkin had 2 dozen delicious pumpkin-gut-muffin children last night And this gave me a much-needed chuckle RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - Lejays17 - 11-01-2020 Love the pineapple lantern. Just the thing to bring some cheer to a gloomy day. Everyone looks like they’re having a great party! RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - davidd - 11-01-2020 Nice work carving the pineapple! That's not easy to do! And often quite messy and sticky! Lovely glowy fun photos! A very merry H'ALOHAween to you and all your little friends! RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - Elfy - 11-01-2020 Looks like everyone had a very happy Halloween by the pumpkin and the pineapple. RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - Alliecat - 11-01-2020 Thanks everyone! The weather could be worse; I had lovely talk-story visit on the phone with a friend near Boston who said they got 6" of snow last night. It's crazy how much work an indoor shoot with multiple dolls, light-painting, and fire, can be! Some recipes for noms: Pumpkin Gut Bread Pumpkin Gut Choc Chip muffins How to roast the seeds And with a little effort you can cut up your pumpkin, roast the pieces, and make your own puree. Mr Pumpkin lives in the fridge when he's not on display so he'll keep for a bit till I bake him. ...I wonder if pumpkin-haupia pie would be weird...? RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - whimsu - 11-06-2020 Cute pics!! I love the pineapple lantern lol RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - DeadlyNova - 11-06-2020 Very cute!! Happy Late Halloween! <3 RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! - Loona - 11-08-2020 Seems like you all had fun! And Daesani is a boss babe, isn't she? I love the carved pineapple, such a cool idea! And now I'm craving pineapple again - I've been for some time, but never got around to buy one. Will you try to plant the top? I've been meaning to try this ever since a colleague told me earlier this year that this can be done RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! (belated encore) - Alliecat - 11-08-2020 Thanks everyone! Yep, Daesani's got attitude for days I've tried to root pineapple tops probably half a dozen times. Supposed to be very easy in water, & better for a damp area where there's not a lot of great light -- less likely to mold than in soil -- but they never 'take'. I'll stick this one in a glass but I don't ex-pect it to root because it's been kind of cooked by the candle, even up inside where I'd be peeling it off to. ...Yeah, I know, Halloween is over, but I wanted to do a few more pix before I baked Mr Pumpkin (he yielded 5 pies' worth of puree), and before Mr Pineapple dried into slouching decrepitude. He already looks a little tired here; I had to prop up the top because it fell off in the middle of a shot! And, according to my 2 wee Polynesian princesses, H'ALOHAween can go all year! The LaVoile sisters basking in Halloweeny glow. The J-Dolls protested being left out. A justified complaint. Natalie. Outtake! She got a little woozy during a focus check. Joined by Abbigail... Our hearts are in the tropics, and Aloalo has fond memories of a lovely garden. Aloalo & Crystal Mahalo for looking! RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! (belated encore) - Lejays17 - 11-08-2020 The extra shots are grreat, and I'm pleased that the J-Dolls made their displeasure known so that they were included. and LOL at the out-take - it looks like some of ours while we are trying to set everthing up. Aloalo & Crystal look very relaxed in the last one, dreaming of warmer places. RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! (belated encore) - dunneh - 11-09-2020 Belated Happy Halloween! I guess she got into the punch during the focus check pic! The Halloween Pineapple is awesome! Would be pretty fitting here in Australia. These pics and outtakes are great. RE: Happy H'ALOHAween from PTFCo! (belated encore) - Loona - 11-09-2020 Great outtakes, and happy to see the J-dolls also joining in! I'm sad to hear that the reality of pineapple top-rooting seems to be much less effective than what the videos seem to suggest I really need to try it the next time I get a pineapple. Do I spot it right that Andreya is wearing some sorts of high-heels? How did you make up your mind about removing her boots? Having heard how they break the ankle joints, and also having broken a J-doll ankle joint in the past (and trying to preserve that shoe was really not worth it, arrrrrgh!), I never dared to even try removing the footwear from either of my Andrassys. |
