These poor girls have been neglected... they've had hardly any camera time and I feel bad because they're so pretty. Being not-too-visible in the cabinet where they are doesn't help remind me to take them out.
These are from November...
It was cold and the light was really unhelpful, very contrasty late sun. So they took some touching-up. Anyway, here are Abbigail & Isabelle.

Bummer that Groove stopped making them. Their outfits are so nice. So much pretty detail in this one.

Pale dolls in the sun... soooo hard to shoot.
Thanks for looking

Really lovely photos! You made the most of the weak, wintery light to give the scenes a nostalgically warm glow! I especially like the first and third photos, and the fourth one, with the moss and the limited depth of field!
Yes, these pretty girls deserve to get out and about more. They look like they might be challenging to pose, though.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

I think you did magic with what sunlight you had, as usual! These girls really are lovely and your photos frame them so well!

Thanks everyone
J-Doll outfits are generally better than Pullips' for some reason...

They're actually easier to pose than Pullips, I think... same body but not top-heavy.

Oh, they're 12-inch figures? They look like they might have been larger. I was thinking 16-inch maybe.

They're such lovely dolls! davidd, they have the same body as Pullips. The earliest ones have the Type 3 and the later ones have the Type 4. I've always thought of them as Groove's attempt to compete with Momoko.

I see last time I posted, I said the same thing about them not getting photo time, as I said in this week's pic a week. Here are some more pix from Sunny's trip to the beach yesterday. The temperature was actually into 2 digits. Woo.
Waiting for mermaids.
Found a good lookout spot.
She found some beach glass to match her shoes...
...and her eyes.
Meditating...

She looks to be having a lot of fun.
Your photos always make the J-Dolls seem so gorgeous, making me wish I had more than just my dear Mot around...

I am always intrigued by grey sand beaches with lots of pebbles. Such places seem ripe with the possibility for interesting treasures. And indeed, as I scrolled down, Sunny found a beautifully smooth and frosted example of blue beach glass! What a marvelous place she has to ex.plore!

Too bad they are kind of hard to find at reasonable prices. I mean, there are lots on eBay, but, $$$....

Well, it can be, but there's also a lot of junk because the fishermen & salmon farm workers chuck a lot overboard. Out of sight, out of mind Sometimes cool driftwood, a fair bit of glass, limited shells (snail, mussel), & the coolest thing I ever found on the beach was the minis' boat.
A few more photos of Natalie from today's pic-a-week shoot.
It's funny how some dolls seem to take fewer photos to get a good sharp one. I've always had the impression that Natalie "nails it" on just one or 2 shots. Quite strange!
I should get the closeup lenses out for some portraits, rather than just cropping. They have such gorgeous eyes. I mean, look at this...

I'm guessing the focus is a result of the higher contrast ratio of this doll relative to others; black and white outfit, and dark eyes and hair contrasting with a pale face.
She's certainly cute. I love her little two-toned shoes.
Her shrubby friend is cute, too. Perhaps remodeling the deck with a little cut-out for the bush would be an option, because obviously it really wants to be there!

Natalie looks to be the botanist of the group. You’re right about her eyes, they are gorgeous.
