This idea turned into a fun shoot with a bunch of photos that came out of it, one of which I'm going to make into touristy postcards for the market. I'm waiting for some nosy person to ask me what I was doing crawling around on the beach that day...

I liked this one because I thought the glasses made her eyes look funny.

After I shot these, I realized she should also probably have had a can of bug spray. I tried photoshopping one in, but it looked fake.

LOL - beautiful photos and Daesani looks even more like a star - actors and other celebs wander around in ugh boots in summer all the time
If I could take photos it would be of winter in Sydney (winter solstice today, supposedly MID winter) and dolls in summer dresses and think socks because HUMIDITY. Not supposed to be a thing in so called winter >.>

Thanks everyone  I was so pleased to find that little jacket on eBay; it was about $4 and is the cutest thing. It was a fun shoot. And the beach is actually one place there aren't many blackflies. (Although there will be mosquitoes later, probably.)
I thought the other day we should have done a dress like your doll shoot... her with this outfit, and I had a summer shirt & shorts plus fuzzy wintery socks.
She definitely does carry off this look better than me though

Great photos! The washcloth-as-a-towel idea is really smart, it's a perfect Pullip-sized beach towel. Daesani's whole ensemble is super cool, she definitely looks like a rock star. (And I totally feel ya about the weather- I'm visiting my family up in Maine right now and it hasn't gotten above 60 degrees Fahrenheit here for the past two days. There are people going around in coats...in July. )
