Sigh... this week has been a writeoff. Thanks to the ever-encroaching construction-company yard developing next door and the never-ending early-morning earthmoving, I can't remember the last night I spent all night in my bed. My makeshift bedroom is an airbed on the floor in my basement office. By the time I get re-settled and the negative energy dissipates enough to get back to sleep, by the time I try to make up 7 or 8 hours' sleep, the day is half gone. Thus I've got nothing done, including dolly photos, and am behind with sorting the ones I took of Cygnie and Daphne both. Fortunately there was a little quiet time last Sunday in which I got a few of Daphne, amid a cloud of mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes are an issue on the island? And black flies?
Still looks quite picturesque, though. Nice use of the green background to coordinate with while contrasting the turquoise scheme of your new little friend!
Are those miniature yellow daffodils she is holding?

That hair! It's like a peaceful mint cloud!
Hope the construction dies down soon. That really sucks.

Thanks, all
I'm not sure what the little flowers are -- I have quite a variety in my yard. Those would be pretty tiny daffodils!
Sadly, I don't think the noise will improve, as he's building a yard to store all his bulldozers etc., so they will be going in & out to jobs, probably early in the morning... indefinitely
Anyway...
The crew recently received a gift of a couple of new dresses. Aren't they cute?

PUDDLE souvenirs?
Celeste's in particular just seems made for her. I really love her wig.

The dresses were a gift from Karen/hugosdaughter since the crew couldn't go to PUDDLE. Samantha and Red are happy to have another new dress that's perfectly sized for them.
I'm really liking this wig on her too. I'm glad someone has arrived to wear it. I got it for Dae after the Fire Incident, but somehow it didn't really contrast enough with her skin tone to work for me in person, although I thought it would after a Photoshop test.
I keep saying I need to glue this one on, but then I'm curious about re-styling Dae's old black one, just to try it on her.
Canada Day.
The crew's not sure whether they're celebrating or not. Nobody's quite sure which way up the flag should go these days.
In Ottawa, there was quite the attempt at governmental crackdown again, with media fearmongering, a "vehicle exclusion zone", people being pulled over by police for certain decor on their cars or maybe carrying a flag made them suspicious, and threats of increased fines such as $1000 for "shouting".
Fortunately a crowd of pedestrians made it in to the Parliament area and there were too many of them to fine.
Oh, Canada

$1000 fine for shouting?
And people here in the States are saying they are going to move to Canada because rights are being taken away here.
And Canadians can’t even fly the flag anymore without being harassed by the government?
It’s reaching that point in some places in the States.
Your girls look confused and sad. Which is unusual for them. But understandable.
What’s happening in the world?

There was a significant cash element to the prize package, too, wasn't there?
Cute ponchos, and their radiant red hair looks particularly stunning contrasting with the green foliage.
Congratulations on your success in the PUDDLE contest!

...yeah, big bucks for the prize...
I love these brilliant yellow lilies. I waited a little too late in the day though, and now they're past their peak. Sigh, time goes so fast.
