Aijo's Dolls (updated 22 Apr. 2023, p. 14)

You are really good at posing your dolls, this is definitely something I want to get more practice at!

Lighting can make or break a shot, but with dolls, posing is right up there with making the difference between toy-snapshot and making them look like real little people. Yes, how do real people sit -- little details like how the doll's hands & feet are placed; are they a few mm above what they're supposed to be resting on? Are they turned in a natural position like a real person would hold their hand? Center of gravity can be important too -- if they're leaning in a way a real person wouldn't, it makes them look more like objects & less "alive". Also if they're supposed to be looking at the camera, they should be looking right at the camera; I often reshoot or move because someone's gaze is just a little 'off' where it should be. If they're doing something, are they looking at what they're doing like a real person would be, (hard with poor Pullip articulation sometimes) or gazing off disconnectedly?
Aijo basically said all that... how do people do things, "even how you do things" -- which made me think, if you're not sure about a pose you could try mimicking it yourself and see if it feels natural before you click the shutter.

Ah, there's Shion again, doing that Yuri-enabling thing with her lovely face and wig. She's truly adorable!
I really like the photos of the siblings too - they seem to be enjoying themselves. And that kitchen setup looks great. Iolite is such a little cutie pie, how could anyone be agry at her for stealing a macaron or two? ^^

There's my favourite pair! They look adorable, tenderly holding hands and looking at one another. It's succan a well-captured, affectionate moment. And, as usual, I love the way you compose - the out-of-focus passing schoolboy in the second picture just adds a whole next level of realism to the picture. The girls seem to be having fun, telling stories of the summer months during which they were apart

And I'll also stand in the line of admirers of those chairs!

@Alliecat: I concur with you. Their back-to-school also was much more interesting and entertaining than mine was. I almost felt excited for a moment and realized this was my imagination!
