As for DS... I don't know what gets comments, that's the honest truth. Even when I do make posts, I'm lucky if I get a couple of comments and you'll have both seen on the Room thread that it can go a while with only me posting each segement. Custom work gets comments, and occasionally posting about a new line that others don't know much on, but apart from that... /shrug. If I ever figure it out, I'll let you know.

(But know that I am appreciating threads on both places so much.)

That's great! It was meant to be for laughs! Her character (still in the process of making) is shy and has reasons for it, but in this particular case, I just really didn't like how the blank, hairless doll with empty eye sockets looked among the other ones, so I decided to take the funny route. Hmmm, as I'm typing this, I got a little idea...

My main problem with the 'no comment' thing was that my thread was the only one among the ADAD/W ones. I know that DS is pretty dead, but being the only one in this case made me feel weird. But don't worry about it. I'm dropping that thread today and I feel really good about it, so don't bother yourself with it anymore wink

She is obviously shy and wants to hide; but then she chooses a brilliantly colored golden disguise, so obviously she wants to be seen, as well. She is becoming a wonderful character even without a face-up!

I agree, you made five Top Tier dolly catches this past year! Quality and quantity! An excellent and focussed use of your hobby resources!

Ah, that yellow scarf is entirely my fault, it was on top of the scarf stash and I was lazy to fish for more, and when I put it on her, I just loved the contrast between the scarf and her resin so much, I decided to use it again. Her character will actually be all about NOT being seen, but I won't share any details for a while, because if I start putting too much effort and detail to a backstory before I have certain amount of dolls for which the backstory is meant, it pops new characters left and right and they ALL demand to be shelled, and that would be a bit of an issue with resins...

Thank you!!!

Thank you!!!

LOL Lady, I like your style!

LOL You're right! Thank you!

I have an Azone/MH comparison pics here in my previous thread, and I'll take more once my faceless beauty isn't quite so faceless anymore. And thank you!

Day 6

This day is dedicated to the favorite dolly memory of 2019, and once again, I'm having a hard time to pick just one. While it was the worst year for me health-wise, it was THE best year in the hobby so far, even better than 2010, when MH came out. I completed second ADAD in a row together with you guys, I had tons of fun with milestones pics and graveyard props, my dolls got some fine props made especially for them by my dad, I started collecting a whole bunch of wonderful new dolls (Smart Doll, Azone, resin BJDs), I have - more or less - successfully sewn my first dolly outfit... The only sad thing was the yellowing and deteriorating of some of my MHs, but other than that, everything doll-related was just so good in 2019, I had a blast!

So this photo is an attempt to concentrate all that awesomeness into one pic, rather than portraying one specific memory.

I'd like to point out that I went FIVE whole days without using a filter, six if you count Day 365 of last year's challenge LOL

What's your favorite dolly memory of 2019?
