It would be lovely to have things ripening in the garden at Christmas!
With the perspective here, the tree looks almost dolly-size

Congratulations on the tomatoes! Will they be bright red and ready by Christmas? You could hang them on your Christmas tree!

Last week Elfy & I went into the city & visited the Myer Windows - it's part of our Christmas traditions.

This year, the theme was "Snugglepot & Cuddlepie" by May Gibbs Wiki link to her biography
Honey came along with us & borrowed Amelia's camera to take some photos of the display
(excuse the window-glare - it was late afternoon & the sun was reflectng off the buildings on the opposite side of the mall)

This one is my favourite - a female gumnut baby (red dress), a male gumnut baby (strategically placed leaf  )  and wattle/acacia flower baby (yellow dress).  They're on the Goanna Eress - goannas are a type of lizard.

Looks like quite an elaborate display! Must be a lot of fun to take in all the details in person.

They are very elaborate - what isn't shown in the still pics, is that they are also animated.  So they move up & down, back & forth & whatnot.
It's been going for over 50 years, and it's a new theme every year.  Mostly Christmas-related in some way - this one had a Santa Koala with a gum-leaf beard, but the light was particularly bad on that one so I didn't post it.


This week's photo - I'm doing a knitting advent project, so Becky has been assisting with opening the daily yarn parcels.
This is Day 13, and it matches her dress beautifully 

Ha! Cute. My Kalgoorlie/Perth penpal sent me a May Gibbs address book once upon a time, so I knew who these little characters were. It would be fun to see the display in motion. And Honey looks very elegant in that lovely dress. Becky's does match the yarn nicely. And more fancy yarn -- will be interesting to see what you make.

Those displays are absolutely amazing! And this skein was absolutely meant for Becky!

I love the glimpse in to the far background, with more dolls and more holiday decorations!

Keen eye David, you've spotted the Essendon Christmas stocking and Evie lurking in the background.

The corner of the room where I've got the wool advent set up is opposite to where the tree & fireplace are, so you can see them in the background on certain angles.
It's also on the opposite side of the doorway to the piles of books that is the temporary "table" for the Harry Potter Advent.  So I do the dolls with the HP window, take 1 step & a 180 deg turn & do the wool one 


I had Monday off this week, instead of my usual Friday, so took myself out for a nice day down the Peninsula & my favourite photo-taking beach.


This time, Nyxie took Tansy along to show her the beach.

Their transport bag - there's a sturdy box underneath that has extra clothes & other bits & pieces.
