I found that advert bizarre too, people kept saying 'look! The pullips are on TV again' - Gah! They're not pullips!! fugly things.

I think those customisations are really caricatured & exaggerated. Not my cup of tea, but frigging amazing in terms of skill all the same.

I have the opposite reaction, I can't stand the over painted lips. I don't like it on Pullips, either.

Those Blythe boys are... not my cup of tea. Based on what I can see of the hands, those boy bodies look to be male action figure bodies. The hands look a lot like Dan_Dal's rebodied Taes (worth a looky if you haven't seen them before): http://flic.kr/p/dKL93p
That's got to be a tricky mod to get the head to stay on since most action figure bodies have thick necks and heads with a partial neck to fit on them.
