A huge thank-you to all who submitted a photo entry for Round 62, and/or took the time to vote. Congratulations to Elfy for the Round 62 victory! Here we are at Round 63.
Elfy has come up with the following theme for Round 63: Recreate a Favourite Book Cover (Also include an image of the cover, so that everyone knows what is being portrayed).
***Please be sure your photo entry is approximately 500 x 375 pixels***
You may submit your entries to me via PM or e-mail. The deadline is 0:00 HST, April 22, 2019
I prefer PMs, but if you are having trouble sending those, you may e-mail me. My address is as follows--just leave out the spaces between the @ sign.
justlikewasabi @ gmail.com
If you have a title for your photo, be sure to list it. It'll be just called the lackluster and uninspired "Untitled" when I post it in the voting thread otherwise.
Unsure about the deadline? Here is a list of the equivalent times in a bunch of other places. Simply find the city geographically closest to your locale and use that as your submission deadline. (For what it's worth, I'm not a stickler for absolute deadlines--if your photo is in my inbox when I get around to creating the voting thread, it'll get posted).

"Oh, hey, I can trawl through the shelves at work tomorrow and find something copy-able."
"....oh, wait. Favourite. Uh oh."
I'm not sure I can do much with "Watership Down"

Oh well, maybe not your mostest favouritist book EVAH, but a favourite in general.
I know that I would have troubles doing “night watch” by Terry Pratchett, so am going to check our shelves when I get home for something to be able to be photographed.
(He totally “stole” our idea from my weekly thread )

The cover I remember had a couple of rabbits, I think, or maybe just one rabbit, in a field... or something like that. Sounds do-able. Not particularly exciting, but do-able.
In fact, I could totally steal your idea and do a Watership Down recreation using Pullip Amelia in her bunny ears avaitor cap!
(But I won't!)
((Probably won't.))

I saw that! So your entry is already done!

Bahaha.... Go ahead. I'm not making bunny ears for anybody.

Would it be cheating to use a book that already has Pullips on the cover? . (Totally kidding, but the book IS good!!)

Oh my goodness! That is too cool!
Even though one of the first reviews that pops up on the GoodReads site says:
"First of all: the cover of this book has got to be one of the ugliest covers I've ever seen. That has nothing to do with my feelings for the book itself, but good grief - if I hadn't read and enjoyed previous books by this author, there is no way I would have picked this up."
The book has a lot of reviews and rankings, mostly positive! Hmm... I wonder if Pullip doll covers is a way to boost eBook sales? Oh, but wait... this wasn't an indie ebook, this was a real hardcover book from a real publisher!
I may need to purchase a copy just to include in my Pullip collection!

I’d decided on a book ( well series anyway) but now I can’t find the specific one I want to do.
I’ll have to try hunting up the copy in our library this weekend - I found my HB copy in the mini-shelves but it doesn’t have a dust jacket so I need to find the PB copy with the pic on it.

I have a really good idea for an entry, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to take the photo in time :/

I've done my entry, but I'm not entirely happy with it. I couldn't get the idea inside my head to match the reality of the photo-taking-ability.

Oh, believe me, this round is hard! (Or I picked a difficult cover to duplicate. .) I think the idea is to get it as best as you can! I know I had to change a lot of plans once I started piecing things together.

I may need to purchase a copy just to include in my Pullip collection! Aw, I can't believe someone hated the cover! I mean... I can if you're not a Pullip collector and there's these random large-headed weird dolls on an otherwise good book. .
I would TOTALLY recommend getting it. :3 I really enjoyed it. The characters and story are very well-written and believable.
(And no, I didn't use that cover as my entry. . I picked another awesome book by a different author.)
