Thanks, all smile
I think she has the most dramatic eye makeup of all the J-Dolls; it is dreamy.

I'm on a binge with the J's, so here is Charonne this week, with another tiny hopeful sign of spring.  This is in a very warm south-facing spot against the garage wall.  Everything else is still too cold to come up.

Charonne is a lovely name, befitting such a lovely girl! And it looks like the greenery is beginning to flourish, even though you do not yet have many flowers.

Purple flowers were the first to emerge here, as well! I believe the ones here are a type of iris, different than the flowers in your photo.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

Very springesque pic. While you in the northern hemisphere do complain about the winters at least you can genuinely see the change in the seasons. We don’t really get that down here.

What a beautiful way to capture first signs of spring!

Pretty girl with lovely flowers - all the J dolls are beautiful, I think

It's actually her stock name "Rue de Charonne"... I'll keep the stock names if they sound like nice names.  I do have a little cluster of dandelions right against the foundation on the southeast corner... wheeee.  These are chionodoxa, which I planted a few seasons ago.  They haven't multiplied as I hoped they would, but things have a tough time growing well here.

Um yeah... In Hawaii the first time, I swore I'd never admit missing a change of seasons... I think I could get used to that.

Thanks, all!  The J's really are lovely.

This week Miss Scarlett gets the shot because my amaryllis is blooming again and she's just the right colour to match it.

Perfect girl that show off the amaryllis.

Oh wow, the reds match so well. No wonder she's the perfect choice here.

Yay, things are finally blossoming around you!

So very, very red! Gorgeous photo (and model... and flower!).

This is the best shade of red. Absolutely no debate.

Okay, I had typed a long, gushing comment, but you're just gonna have to take my word for it, because the forum somehow managed to eat it. Swallowed it whole and didn't even spit out any bones.

Anyway, the gist of it was admiring the vibrant red colors and the multiple interesting visual textures in the photo: the flower petals, the fuzzy pollen bits, the smooth and silky hair, the knitted top, and the use of a distant and diffuse contrasting green to frame the entire composition.

Scarlett is very flattered yay  Thanks, everyone!
They're such short-lived flowers.  It was done in no time.  But, the second bulb is now making a flower, so I'll enjoy another bloom.

I was going to shoot some more J-Doll portraits out back, but it won't stop raining.  So a bit of a cheat with this week's pic which was also for the Dal House Forum May photo challenge, which is for holidays and observances -- those weird days you've never heard of but someone thought should be celebrated?, there are a lot!
Samantha's taking notes for Be A Millionaire Day.
