28 September 2019 – A Doll A Day 2019

I came really, really close to giving up today.

But then I read that on this date in 1889 the First General Conference on Weights and Measures defined the length of a meter using a bar of platinum-iridium alloy measured at the melting point of water ice, and thought... yeah, A Doll A Day is nowhere near as important as that, so I really should quit.

Instead, I'll continue, just for spite.

Ninety-four days to go.

Wow, look at that background!! I want to go ex-ploring it! You do have some pretty spectacular scenery to make up (somewhat?) for the crummy climate.
I love the 'doll photography' shot! The composition, her pose, she looks quite alive and as though you just interrupted her work.

I love Triv's tiny camera....

And it's a real film camera, too! It's a "sub-miniature" camera from the 1950s or 1960s.

Certain of the crew around here would argue that you can always work a sword into things somehow.

I suspect it would not take much convincing to get Jane to agree with your... point.
