That is a great box! Very 3-D effect!

This is a delightful photo! I love both versions! The color version has a sense of mystery and depth because of the shadows, contrast, and rich golden hues. The filtered version reminds me very much of silent movie stills from the films of Georges Méliès, who used a combination of stage flats and three-dimensional construction to create his fantasy movie sets.

And then, of course, it's Cleo de Nile in full-on Egyptian Princess glory

Ooh, I hadn't ever seen the box for this two-pack. I can see 100% why you'd want to keep it - it makes for a fantastic backdrop. Also, Cleo in full on Egyptian Princess mode is always a plus. I'm actually kind of curious as to whether those stairs could hold her weight...

Monsieur Méliès's sets are beautiful! I should steal some of those ideas for my dolls! And since I'm in somewhat patriotic mood, I'll recommend checking up Karel Zeman's work.

Cleo knows werepuppy meant all that gold she's bedecked with. It is heavy, and it is the sign of exceptional finesse to be able to wear it like it weighed nothing. There is no princess in the whole world (and underworld) who could don it with more grace than Cleo.

Karel Zeman! I've only seen still photos of his work in old books when I was a kid! A quick glance online just now reveals a plethora of info! There goes the rest of my day!

And... there's a Karel Zeman museum in Prague! That is where Reimei is going to take us on her next outing!!!! Right???

The first filtered pic, with the hint of colour, is absolutely fantastic! It is a beautiful and artistic rendering. And fits right in with the æsthetic of the Karel Zeman stills at which I was just looking!

I love his work, my personal favorites are An Invention for Destruction / The Fabulous World of Jules Verne (US title is, pardon me, weird), Baron Munchausen / The Fabulous Baron Munchausen and, naturally, [i]Krabat — The Sorcerer's Apprentice[/i].

I'm not sure it's going to be the next Smart Doll adventure, but I do want to take her there eventually. There are reconstructions of some of his famous sets, people can take photos in them and kids can play there, so... Yeah.

You're showing more of your Zeman influence with another "surrealistic realism" photo! A wonderful summery pic as we head in to the chilly, dark days of winter (at least in the northern hemisphere), but with an otherworldliness to it, an intriguing artificiality that is visually compelling.
