...aaand, off we go for the next 1000 posts.
Miki's ringlets are indeed adorable. I'm trying not to get them into a state where they'll need a spa day -- the bigger ringlets are hard enough to deal with!!
...yeah, you know you're obsessed with doll photography when you pick plants because your dolls could pose with them. Not the case for these, but I did buy another succulent-y thing a couple of years ago that I thought would work. I have all of 2 photos of Sunsette with it, but it never made it outside this year so it hasn't bloomed & is a bit scraggly.
Samantha's participating in some more Dal House challenges so instead of doing actual work this evening, I took her & Sunsette to the beach. ...why not, right...?
The theme for this shoot is "red".
The library summer student was amused when I got interested in these little balls she was giving the summer reading program kids. "Eek, they're dolly size!" This one had a little split in it so they "couldn't" give it out. Too bad, right?
It can be nice to hang out on the beach with a friend. Even when they tell endless sailing stories.
At least on this beach visit she kept her top on
Thanks for looking!

The beach ball and the red blanket are quite fun... and colorful! Excellent props for the "red" theme.
For some reason, these pics are making me miss the beach more than I usually do. To the point where I was looking at real estate prices on your island again. Much more affordable than anywhere even remotely close to the ocean here in the States.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

I adore her little life ring. Some of ours would love something like that.

The beach shots are so cute. The ones with the life ring in particular. Samantha really does love the beach, doesn’t she!

Ah, I wish I could be there with Samantha. I really miss the beach - I love beaches, and always wish I lived closer to one ("sadly" though, I like my city. Too bad because my country doesn't even have a sea). This one doesn't look too crowded, which is even better! My favourite picture is the one where Sam's sitting with the sun shining from the side - it's like she's trying to soak up the last rays (I hope she's wearing sunscreen though ) - or use them to warm herself up after a swim in the cool sea.
Stuff that you can repurpose to be dolly preps are the best! I'm always on the lookout for those too. That ball looks exactly like one - glad you got one And just like Elfy, I'm also a fan of that little life ring. Where did you get it, ifI may ask? My Ami's nautical-themed room is still missing a life ring - I'm trying to construct one, but that is another abandoned project as it is now.

Edit Reason: i thought of something else
)
Thanks, everyone!
No, it isn't 'crowded' -- there is almost never anyone on that beach, except once in a rare while the people down the road with their annoying dog. Basically it's like my private beach because I walk there most days & never meet anyone 99% of the time
The life ring is from PUDDLE 2018. You could try messaging TrueFan to see if she has any left.
Barring that, you could get -- I was going to say a fishing-gear buoy-swivel ring, from which my girls have a tire swing, (but, Loona, with a lack of seaside in Hungary, maybe a craft store would have a macrame ring that you could paint and fasten some cord to...?)...
Samantha gets a lot of work on her photo portfolio with all the Dal House challenges. Here, she's modelling her prize from the July contest.
...I know, she doesn't look particularly jazzed here, but she likes it very much. Really.

I think her look of disenchantment is largely because a Dal's natural ex-pression is 'resting bitch face'.

I did have to lighten the shadows a bit to make it more like what it actually looked like.
Ika got a couple of new little friends through the Dal House forum. I'm not sure what I should call the octopus... I'm too tired to be creative at the moment. Anyway, it was a very tiring week so it was nice to go to the beach for a couple hours, and remarkably, there were no bugs. Guess it's been too dry.

Ika’s new friends are very cute. The octopus looks especially squishy & cuddly.
