Show me your dolls in the snow! (wintery themes are welcome too!)

Kudos to all of you; I see snow and immediately don't want to leave the house for approximately the next six years. grin But doll pictures in the snow are always so pretty!

HA! I have similar thoughts... I want to hibernate till spring. But, I push myself, hence today's walk into something like -15C wind chill because "you need the exercise".

Covered with salt ice, the beach wasn't much fun either.

That salt ice beach looks amazing!

Seriously, I want to move there!

I wonder how long it would take for the novelty to wear off?

Darla suddenly in the mood to continue world travelling again? Tongue Based on the third picture though, she doesn't seem to be the cold type.

OK, I'm a little pissed. Today I *almost* made it... I woke up (at 8 AM. This has become a habit in the past week - or even two. I literally have no idea why, I don't even need to get up at 8 AM on workdays, but it has become some biological clock-activating time of the day. Not that I mind, more time to do stuff, it's just... interesting), and was super happy to see the top of the building on the opposite side of the boulevard covered in snow! The angle of that roof is rather steep, meaning snow usually doesn't stay on it when it already does on other housetops - and it's also the first from where snow slides off and disappears if it stayed - so it being covered in snow was a good sign, it meant we have finally got a little more than just powder. Focusing a bit more, I could see it was still snowing! It filled my heart with warmth, and I already started to make plans for a short trip to somewhere nature-y in the afternoon, taking Yuki with me, deciding on the outfit she'd wear... Sadly though, it stopped snowing shortly after, the temperature went above freezing degrees, and by noon the was no trace of snow in sight Cry
Well at least I don't kick myself for not getting up and going out right in the morning, because I had stuff to do in the morning and couldn't have gone before the afternoon anyway, but it's still disappointing how quickly things can change.

Poor Darla. She went from our summery climes to the middle of Canadian winter.

Eighteen inches! The lucky ducks! Elijah and Henri seem to have had fun out. I'm in love with both their coats, they look gorgeous! And the fact that Elijah's has a hood that fits his big head - wow! Is that original Pullip stock? I'm really not familiar with Taeyangs, so sorry if this question sounds dumb ^^;

AUGH. From the person who hates winter: that sounds awful! I mean, it's pretty for a while, but then it's just a dirty slushy mess. We had about 6" first thing yesterday a.m. but by noon it was raining & the trees were uncovered again. Now it's... a dirty slushy mess! Which will probably soon freeze.
At least you got to have some dolly fun with it. The snow in Elijah's hair adds a great touch of realism.

Daesani has an answering snow-angel...

Eighteen inches of snow? And here I grumble when there’s more than about three inches!
Well, you have fun, there; and I’ll have fun not being there!

Definitely not a dumb question! The coat is original stock from Taeyang HasH... it mostly languishes in a box, but it was perfect for today... in addition to the hood, it is made from a water-proofy-feeling fabric, so all the better to lie in the snow in! It's really well made, too... a zipper, velcro bits, random pockets, etc.

Henri's coat, on the other hand, was made by me, and look super amateur-ish up close, but I like the color and the trim.

Yeah, pretty much this. We're still in the blinding-white everywhere stage, but it will get gross pretty quickly, and linger forever. My only silver lining is that we're in the midst of a two-week, virtual-only stretch at my school thanks to a few Covid cases, so at least I don't have to drive anywhere. (My commute to work involves a few narrow streets that become extremely treacherous for multiple days after a big snowstorm...)

smile We had pretty much no snow last winter, so I guess we're overdue?

Winter has hit with a vengeance, but I am discovering the joys of dolly snow pictures...

These were from earlier this week.

Then Taeyangs gave it go. The snow was the perfect consistency to use as a stand.

Today it's snowing again! I decided to try to take some snowfall pictures, but today's snow is a different consistency and standing proved to be difficult. Just ask Calvin...

On the second attempt he faceplanted instead. Here's the aftermath. He's not amused...

I've discovered that all my appropriate doll snow outfits are Taeyang and Dal sized. The Pullips own a lot of lightweight jackets, but no heavy coats. Still, Kate was game to give it a try in a heavy cloak and knit hat.

Here she is attempting to show off her gold boots.

Finally I just held them by the feet and tried to get good background shots with the snow on the trees and bushes.

Sorry I've kind of hijacked the thread lately... here's hoping I won't have the opportunity to do so anymore! (But more snow is forecast for Tuesday... and Thursday... Oh My)

Oh no, if you're getting more snow next week I wonder if those systems are headed this way too. It's dumping tonight. I just looked out and was shocked at what had piled up on the porch railing. Yuk.
But, your photos are fun -- they all look cute in their warm outfits. Did you make all the knitted things? Kate is gorgeous!! and especially chic with that hat.

Nope, I can sew but not knit... the hats came from a Blythe clothes lot I bought awhile back on ebay, and Kate's cloak was from my old box of childhood Barbie clothes, many of which came from garage sales.

Hope the later-in-the-week snow systems end up fizzling out for both of us!

Well, we got some of that snow... a foot on the weekend.  After a lot of digging out on Monday and doing nothing on Tuesday, I finally took some pictures today.
