I like the illusion of a bigger set with your bits and pieces in the background. Packing material? And as usual, I like the lighting. I’m a little envious of all this interactive storytelling on these other forums. A ton of work, but fun.

It's better than bad - it's good!

Yup, cardboard from a $9 lamp, I think.

I often recycle existing photos in to "photo responses" when I want to post a quick reply to another story, so that type of "interactive" storytelling is not too terribly time-consuming. The long-form narrative, like in the "Hidden in the Shadows" story, is a lot more work.

We should try to get something going here on this forum. I do not have any Pullips with me at the moment. It would be fun to have a Pullip story. My favorite interactive story was The Ever-Evolving Photo Story Project on the Pinky-Street forum. It was largely nonsensical, but it was pretty funny, and there were quite a few participants at its height. The concept was simple - post a chapter... about anything. It did not even necessarily have to relate to the previous installment, although it got funnier when people began "copying" characters or figures so there would be some continuity running through things.

I love these! Again the perspective is great. Nice colour and light. I guess these dolls are much better to play in the water with; no joint screws to get salty wet and rusty! And the bird made me LOL.

Yes, it would be fun to have something like that on here. Any takers...? I could try...

These dolls have jointed steel internal armatures and openings around the wrists, ankles, and neck. Although I rinsed the doll thoroughly in fresh water, I'm sure some salt water and probably sand worked its way inside, so time will tell if rust or grit in the armature mechanism will be an issue.

Integrity Toys Beach Babe Poppy Parker
Takara Cy Girls Aurora

NOTE: at some point while I was snapping this photo, the sunglasses fell off the Poppy figure and ended up on the floor, where, of course, I managed to step on them and break off both ear pieces. Because the frame is so tiny, trying to glue them back together will be an exercise in futility. I am quite annoyed with myself, because the clothing set those eyeglasses came with was not inex-pensive. The glasses did not say on the figure very well, so I'm hoping that perhaps I can use a tiny dab of blu-tac or similar adhesive and simply stick the glasses to the doll's face. That approach could ultimately work better. Or it could peel the paint off the eyes.

How about a tiny dab of Tacky Glue with a toothpick? I glued some incredibly tiny things when I made those miniature kits.

Oh, now I recall that you didn’t like the wrist joints on some of those dolls. I had forgotten and was thinking they were sealed all over.

If you use the blu-tac that shouldn’t damage the doll.

Nope, all she does is dramatically announce, "Hailing frequencies are open!" and anything beyond that is the purview of somebody else.
