My eyeballs have gone square from screen time this week, so maybe that was why "boots" was not the first way I read it when the page first loaded
This sort of outfit was everywhere when I was hunting for my pirate "look", and since I most definitely do not do corsets or heels and did not want a short skirt to wander around a chilly September waterfront, it took a long time to find mine!

OK, you seriously need a whole pirate crew, and now you can take them to a BEACH to look for TREASURE and do piratey seashore things!!!

Aren't they, though! I wish I had stocked up on them when they were available. That style is long discontinued and never turns up on the secondary market.

I do need an entire pirate crew! Unfortunately, that particular style of dress, like the boots, is also long-discontinued and it never turns up on the secondary market. If I want to outfit a pirate crew, I will need to learn how to sew; and not just basic sewing, obviously, but learn to do intricate and elaborate sewing.

7 February - Ankylosaur Week 2022

Trivia Flynn (Smart Doll Symphony) kicks off Ankylosaur Week 2022.

I wonder if Dr. Darren Naish of the TetZoo podcast and blog had any idea Ankylosaur Week would still be going strong – well, okay, would still be limping along – fourteen years after his original Ankylosaur Week series of academic paleontology posts on his Science Blogs Tetrapod Zoology blog (now extinct, unfortunately) back in February 2008?

Here we are, in 2022, still posting a week of Dolls with Toy Ankylosaur pictures during the second week of February every year, more or less, except for those years when we forget.

While Ankylosaur Week may not have caught on like Talk Like a Pirate Day or Towel Day, it is still "a thing." So please feel free to play along: post pictures to forums, photo-sharing sites, or social media of toy ankylosaurs, real ankylosaurs, ankylosaur artwork, or dolls and action figures with ankylosaurs and include the tags #ankylosaurweek and #ankylosaurweek2022

Oh, fun! I loved dinosaurs soooo much when I was a kid. There was an Iwanttobeapaleontologist phase.
Hmmm.... I wonder if I still have the wee tiny dinosaurs I loved to play with...?

Ermm... well, you could learn to glue... I glued all the hems on my doll-size pirate outfit. There are tutorials out there for making boots too. I've never tried, but... as crafty as you are, I bet you could shape a foot and then you just need a long tube of suede...?

The Pirate outfit is so amazng, and it sucks that you can't find more on the secondary market.

I have to admit that I had no clue about anklyosaur week being a thing - I do have a toy dinosaur I can contribute to this week's challenge, but she's a tricerotops, so not quite right.
