Nope, not abandoned. Just built-without-plans and made up on the fly. It's still a work in progress, with progress being measured in minuscule increments. So far the "new" surf shop diorama lacks the busy, cluttered, chaotic charm of the "old" surf shop diorama. I'm probably over-thinking things as I proceed rather than just throwing stuff in like I did before.

It looks promising. Don't worry, you'll probably clutter it up in no time

A mermaid bar sounds like a spectacularly fun project!

Some interesting, um, perspectives.
Is that one of the solar-powered hula dancers?

No, that is my "famous" dashboard hula doll who appeared on the cover of a book, a real book published by a real publishing company:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1608...s-paradise
Note the fading on her hip and the tops of her arms, a result of several years of Hawaiian sunshine while she graced the dashboard of my Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Here's a pic for today of a solar-powered version:

I received this little solar hula dancer as a going away gift from my colleagues at Pearl City Elementary School.

That’s a cool photo. I hope you got paid something for it. I’ve had little solar powered flowers in my car but the sunlight eventually deteriorated the plastic, so my little solar hula dancer does not live in the car.

Yes, I was paid what seemed to me a pretty decent chunk of change: six-hundred smackers.
That accidental pic I snapped early one morning while stuck in traffic on my way to work constitutes the entirety of my "paid professional" portfolio.

No, they probably shouldn't. Although their poses suggest they're arguing over who gets to take the picture home
That's a pretty good reward for an "accidental" photo!

Looking forward to seeing what all this looks like when you are done. It's cute that the crew has their own little toolbox.

Yeah... so am I. This project is teetering on the tipping point of tedious.

Seems like an awfully big name tag. What do you they intend to do with them?

The name tags are props for this series of photos, and that's about it, I guess.
