PrettyTiny Film Company -- Alliecat's crew (Mar. 8, Christmas in March)
Congratulations on the new arrival! Pere Noel looks amazingly pretty! Even with the "hair tail."

Poor thing! Her hair has been scrunched up in a box for twelve years!

I guess this answers my earlier question (posted somewhere) about whether you'd keep her mint-in-box or let her out.

By the way, YAY for "bad mini-camera snapshots!" That what Doll-a-Day or Doll-a-Week is all about. Well, maybe not "all" about, but often about.

So Noel already has a Mini Her? That's neat! That'll ease her transition in to becoming one of the gang, I'd think.

As for Lexie and Tony -- there ya go! You know they move around on their own when we're not looking. Now you have photographic evidence. Well, sort of. (So that's a plushie lynx, huh? That's not somethin' ya see every day!)

After 12 years in her carton, Noel wasn't shedding feathers or beads? That's pretty good!

I guess I managed to miss the Dolloween pineapple and pumpkin carving posts! I'll need to come back (it's getting late now) and look at them more closely tomorrow.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

Tony's a bobcat.  He came from Natural Bridge Caverns on the annular eclipse trip via San Antonio.
[Lexie: "I smooched a bobcat.  And I liked it."  LOL ]

Noelle seems in perfect condition.  I'm not sure if the tulle on her skirt is supposed to be a bit off-white or if it's a bit discoloured, but it's really OK.  The beads seem pretty solidly sewn on.  So far, anyway.  She's probably the only one besides Victoria who will stay stock.  I fixed her hair.  Hot water, lots of combing & curlers.  It turned out amazingly well.  I'll have to take some more pictures.

For now, a few more of Cygnie with the painted bouquet.

I posted about Kit over on the pic-a-week thread; today I had a go at unsticking her stiff arms with the hair dryer and success, YAY!!  I can't believe a random search in Texas turned her up at a Half Price Books just 20 minutes away!!
I'm also delighted to find the company wardrobe fits her.  I thought, these being "petite" dolls, that I wouldn't have much to fit her, maybe a Dal outfit or 2.  However, turns out her body isn't that much different, and it's her MTM sister Lea who's the Amazon.  I do have trouble finding things that fit Lea.  So it looks like Kit can share the PTFCo wardrobe cabinet after all.  For starters, one of the first things I spotted in the tops-&-pants drawer already seems to suit her better than the housewifey skirt thing she came with.

Credit to Mom for the painting.  I wish we'd been able to share doll photography.  I think she'd have had a ball.

Lea joined the crew in 2016 when Dawn needed a body, and people were buying MTMs to sacrifice them for Pullips...  Thanks to a nice Dolly Market member who donated a body, in the end Lea got to keep her head.  I guess she's been wanting a sister.  And poor Kit's been in that box a while.  They both need a sister.

OK, so I think these two instantly love each other.
Straight into all kinds of sister-stuff fun.

I'm delighted to see that Lea has a friend / pal / sibling now. I agree, Kit looks much more ready for fun in her new action gear. The "housewifey thing" didn't really suit her.

Nice painting. Yes, it's too bad you couldn't have shared this hobby with your mom. From what you've said over the years, it sounds like both your parents were very creative. But in a way your mom is participating, like in the pic here using the painting as a backdrop.

They were indeed very creative.  Writing, photography, painting, sketching, woodworking, leather crafts.

.........................

Yeeahhh, I know... it's March...  I should be posting St. Patrick's Day photos with everyone dressed in green.
But it's a measure of how dysfunctional things are around here -- it's a struggle to do basic tasks, like cooking, and eating, and... life.... so it shouldn't be a surprise that I've only just got around to putting away the Christmas decor.
I put them up late, well into December, then went away for 17 days, so I thought when I returned that I'd leave it for a while and enjoy it; then was away for a few days in January, and after that I thought I would get around to it.  First I wanted to take pictures which I always do because the setup is a wee bit different every year and I might use some for cards or calendar next year, and it's an hours-long job to get them, what with hanging a too-small black backdrop off of furniture and trying to cover the gaps, lining up shots and moving dolls out of the way, then doing a fazillion takes for each shot to get the lighting right because with light painting you never know what you're going to get and it takes multiple tries to get everything lit just right, framing, focus check, lights on off on off on off, check what I got, do a few more....!... so I really have to be in the mood.  Then I got the unex-pected invitation to kitty-sit in Texas again so there went February.
Anyway.  Finally got them done, and because the PTFCo mini crew have the Best Parties Everrr, they wanted to share them with our dolly friends, even if they're late.
Merry Marchmas, I guess.

I got a bag of these mini decorations at the local thrift shop for a few bucks.  Only after sorting them all did I find there was a whole little nativity set amongst them.  Perfectly mini-sized.

The whole party.  Direct from Hawai'i, Kumu has become the gang's tree-topper.
