Look at the size of that crowd!
The one time I attended a "Con," Kawaii-Kon in Honolulu, the Guest of Honor was Hatsune Miku, who appeared during the opening ceremony.
Needless to say, the event was not nearly as huge nor as energetic as the one in this video! (In fact, I kind of got the impression that about a third of the audience had no idea what was going on.)
