I really like the dark eyes, and the big, poofy fur wig turned out great, and represents the character's hair very well. Great job! I hope your friend will like him! 
It's weird to think Gorillaz have been around for 20 years now - I suddenly feel old XD I clearly remember seeing their first video (Clint Eastwood) on TV in my teens, and all the mystery and speculation around who's behind the scenes (at least that's how it came across from the alternative music shows and magazines I watched and where I heard/read about them). Their music is not my music, so I never really followed them, but my opinion is marginal and in the minority - I would never doubt that they are good considering they are not only still around, but still pretty massively loved. Just recently I did become interested in them because they collaborated with The Cure's Robert Smith, someone whose music I am indeed interested in (The Cure is my all-time childhood favourite band <3 ). That song isn't really my cup of tea either, but I can see it growing on me given it has Robert's voice in it
