OK, I am suitably impressed with the slow hand-hold.
So you figured out how to get the photos off it. Or just reformatted the card again? That would suck -- you lose your photos every time. I tend to leave many of them as the last-resort backup.
It's lovely that they are fixing up houses and saving them, but... the prices make me really angry! The idea that someone wants $700K+ (over $1M CAD!!!) for a fallingdown piece of crap, or jacks up their long-awaited price when someone actually shows interest, just makes me so mad! There are some houses in BC like that. Half a million for a derelict mess, nevermind being in a good location. NS is going that way too, sadly.
I am listening to dump trucks and giant bulldozers yet again (like, this is every day, here) and wondering WTF else I have to do to find a quiet home
Didn't think of the bitcoin thing. I don't get that, at ALL.
DIY fixing is always good to learn. Until maybe some really picky buyer (which I would be, now) wants a really thorough home inspection. I'm afraid of that happening with my house.
What does Mr Fixit there think, about water coming in through the electrical conduit? This seems potentially Really Bad, but dumbass builder put the plastic pipe with the wires under the garage floor, so if it's cracked under there somewhere, there's no getting at it. Of course the wires are insulated, but.... I need to google it but it's beyond my daily coping list so far.

They found more termites under the floor (the peeled-back layers) and when they took the tiles off the wall in the bathroom, the outside wall split apart. This one was double-wall, at least part of it. So I learned about that single-wall thing just last night. And when they mentioned that among other things, single-wall is, of course, much less noise-proof, I went "oh hell no".
Kamohai and Tristyn buy a house that's so termite eaten they don't even need a hammer for demo. And more problems appear as they peel back the layers as they discover a deck being held up by a rope and a foundation that's on car jacks.
