So did you decide to keep her?
I did not notice the eyes. I shall take a look... right now.
Well... that was odd.
.
Definitely Different
.
Under not-very-bright indoor light, a diffused mix of natural window light and artificial LED light, I did not notice a difference between the eyes, and that was going to be my off-the-cuff response. I noticed the sun was bright outside, offering both open shade and full sun, so I took the doll outside. Even under open shade, the difference is not significance, but there was enough that I took a look under full sun. Under full bright sun, the eyes are definitely different. The right eye (screen left) has a decidedly greenish tint, sort of a "camo pattern" green. The left eye (screen right) has a similar pattern but in greys and blacks. I remember a while back when "heterochromia" was something of a fad. This doll must have been released during the heterochromia craze.

As to the ultimate fate of this doll, I have not yet decided. If I could clear a C-note, I'd probably let her go. Less than that, prolly not. She is awfully cute... and I notice, even as I'm typing these paragraphs, that my heartless mercenary attitude is beginning to soften as I apply personal pronouns like "she" and "her" rather than the more generic "the doll."
