"Vintage" as in a dozen or so years old. More a retro-inspired quasi-replica of an older style tin toy robot.
I tried to look up the Schylling company online. They used to produce quite a number of "retro revival" wind-up toys. It appears that they may have been taken over by a group called St. John Toys, who make some pretty nifty stuff:
