I’m confused: are you supposed to just assemble the characters or make a whole story with them as well?

Usually it can go either way. Most respondents... back when people used to respond to the challenges... would simply assemble a character or characters and post one or a few photos with a brief description.

The guy, Gary, who posted the challenge tends to turn his responses in to stories, as do I. Often the stories end up being "response" type stories with characters featured in a reply responding to the events in the previous posts.

I think this time I am going to try to keep my responses "parallel" rather than directly interactive, at least at first. 

(That reminds me: it's been a while since there's been a response to the Pullip Train topic on the Dolly Market forum. I'll take a look at that later to see what the last prompt was.)

Consultant in the Esoteric: Fräulein Erde Spitz-Ohren

The mysterious and aloof Fräulein Erde Gräfin Spitz-Ohren, scientific advisor and consultant in occult arcana to the Ahnenerbe and the SS.

A version of this particular head-body-costume combination initially appeared in the autumn of 2023. While iimposing when dressed in a WWII era uniform, the angular blocky lines of the uniform lacked a sense of the lithe and ephemeral energy of an Elven emissary from the Netherworld. For a period in mid-2024 the head & body were paired with a Pullip Zappa doll costume to create an unnamed "færie" or "elf princess" type character. The figure then reverted to the Spitz-Ohren character with a "Gestapo-lolita" look based on a Pullip Melissa costume. After a brief consideration of repurposing the head-body combination for an "outer space" type character, Fräulein Spitz-Ohren has returned in a more streamlined "dieselpunk" version of a military uniform.

(She kinda needs a long jacket, though, huh? Or maybe a cape or cloak?)

Oh, and, while "Fräulein Erde Gräfin Spitz-Ohren" makes for an impressive-sounding name when spoken in English, the literal translation is: Miss Earth Countess Pointed Ears
