Yes, unfortunately sometimes the "improvements" we attempt do not work out as we had hoped. I have learned from bitter ex-perience that if I intend to tinker with a prized figure, I should probably try to find a duplicate to serve as a back-up copy in case the project goes awry.

I've been on the lookout for a particular Ashton-Drake figure that I unwisely sold about three years ago. During that time the secondary market price has increased from $80-$100 to over $400. I don't want it back that much!
